It's just an assumption on my part, but I know how they operate. Pierce is Celtics royalty. I think they'll keep him as long as they can and get him to retire a Celtic. Rondo showed how valuable he actually is once he got injured. He had a great season last year, he's carried them in the playoffs numerous times and his absense was the difference for them in the playoffs this season. I can see Ainge keeping him to build around and I have no problem with that since a great PG is the hardest position to fill. Now just get some scorers around him.That is stupid. Pierce has very little left and Rondo is the guy they could get a could haul for. It hinders the rebuild because they will have a better record with them both on the roster and push down where they are picking in a pretty excellent draft next year.
