That is stupid. Pierce has very little left and Rondo is the guy they could get a could haul for. It hinders the rebuild because they will have a better record with them both on the roster and push down where they are picking in a pretty excellent draft next year.
It's just an assumption on my part, but I know how they operate. Pierce is Celtics royalty. I think they'll keep him as long as they can and get him to retire a Celtic. Rondo showed how valuable he actually is once he got injured. He had a great season last year, he's carried them in the playoffs numerous times and his absense was the difference for them in the playoffs this season. I can see Ainge keeping him to build around and I have no problem with that since a great PG is the hardest position to fill. Now just get some scorers around him.

It is easy for me to poke holes in other teams when my Sixers have set themselves up so good for the last few years.

Tidbit of news from last night's game.....

Remember when Ray Allen hit the game tying 3 pointer with 5 seconds left and they stopped play to review whether the shot was a 2 or 3. Duncan was on the bench at the time but during the stoppage in play he was subbed into the game.

San Antonio didn't have a timeout remaining so they shouldn't have been allowed to make subsitutions.

Could you imagine the fall out in Miami had Duncan came in and hit the GW shot at the buzzer.

According to Number Never Lie, LeBron was +6 sans the headband. -7 with the headband.

A guy I think is underrated in the draft...Tim Hardaway Jr. I don't see him being a big star, but I think he becomes a legit bench player, adding scoring off the bench. I love his confidence and the way he never shies away from a big shot.

I think he can be more than that. He has a good shot and is long and lanky. If he dedicates himself, he can be a really good 2 guard. I just has to be smarter and stop taking so many bad shots. If he does develop and ends up the best player on a team, he'll be the biggest black hole in the league.

I just think he is best suited as a guy coming off the bench...like JR Smith.

I'd like to see Pop start Diaw over Ginobili. He was really good defensively against Lebron and Ginobili is a liability right now.

I have money on the Heat tonight, which pretty much guarantees a Spurs Championship.

I see Ginobili is picking up where he left off with the turnovers.

Pop needs to tell him to stop leaving his feet unless he intends to shoot because his jump passing is a disaster right now.

If Danny Green isn't shooting a wide open 3, he's useless on the court. Crappy passes and he's more 2 dunks as multiple layups this series.

Miami steals momentum heading into 4th with Chalmers 3 and what does Pop counter with? Rest for Duncan and Parker.

The bottom fell out for Danny Green. I don't think anyone would have confused him for an elite NBA player even if he won the Finals MVP, but he was definitely helping carry the Spurs the first 5 games.

The last 2 he has completely shit the bed and frankly that's one of the reasons the Spurs have not been able to close this out. No production at all from Green whereas they were getting 20 ppg from him before.

And his coach is being too stubborn to recognize it and make the move.

Wow, Duncan...you gotta make that. That's 2 finger rolls tonight he's missed.
