The bone is healed or it isn't. If it is then it's as good as it is going to get so play him. If not keep him out. The medical folks already have the answer to that part of the puzzle so the only thing remaining is the coaching staffs strategy for getting him ready to play. Since he is working out my guess is they are getting him ready for a full practice no later than Thursday. If he doesn't participate then he probably won't play Sunday because of the travel day. Friday is slated for a visit to the 911 memorial so that doesn't leave much foe away practice time.

I don't think the Cowboys beat the Giants without Dez....and honestly if they lose this game the season is most likely lost anyways.

You look at the schedule and there are easily 3 losses left even with Romo back there.

9-7 might get you in the playoffs, but 8-8 doesn't for sure.

Do you mean once Romo is back? I see probably 1 loss to the Packers. We could beat them but then again we could also be beat by the Panthers.

Yeah...Packers, Eagles, and Panthers.

We also have to beat Washington twice (which is never a gimme).

I really don't hold out much hope to be honest.

Why do you think those are all losses? We already beat the Eagles once. The Panthers are highly overrated. And honestly if our defense plays like they did against the Patriots I think we have a legit shot at the Packers.

With all that being said, I don't hold out a lot of hope because I'm afraid we will be 2-7 when Romo comes back. I think you're being highly pessimistic to think we are a .500 team with Romo.

Can't lose more than 1 division game.

Even without a top RB, Washington isn't in Dallas' league with Romo and this improved defense. They won't steal another game from us.

Let's face it: NY-Sea-Philly-TB is a soft stretch of the schedule when we really need it. All are flawed teams and none are over .500.

If Matt Cassel is decent, Dallas has a chance to go 3-1 and even 4-0 over the next four games, especially if they play Michael more. I really believe that.

I think Romo may struggle at first in Miami, but we'll eventually win that game.

I also don't see Carolina beating Dallas. They've defeated the Jags, Texans, Saints, Bucs, and a very average Seahawks team. Let them play the Falcons a couple of times and the Packers too.

Dallas has three very tough games on their schedule: @Green Bay, Jets, and @Buffalo, and fortunately all would appear to be post-Romo.

We'll lose games, but we should be equal or favored in almost every matchup.

Cassel going 3-1 and Romo going 5-2 puts us at 10-6 and gets us the division for sure. If not then definitely a wildcard over Carolina, Chicago, or St Louis.

If we go 9-7, I still think we take the division as long as we only have a single NFC East loss.

I would sit Bryant this week. Deal with it.

Why sit a superstar when he can play, even for a series or two? That's one more week to shake off rust and get back into it mentally.

Dez is more effective on the field even as a distraction than any other of our receivers as a target.

He's got Nike building him custom bionic shoes for Pete's sakes. His coming back would be inspirational and express a sense of urgency regarding the season.

It's the kind of thing a leader does.

Dallas is a deep team, so you have to weigh the value of the active roster spot, but is Lucky Whitehead's 1 catch for -3 yards really going to be missed?

I sit Bryant if I am in charge of this team.

You mean a couple of kids overseas are for 8 cent an hour.
Probably some 6 figure earning engineers who made these ones. The sweatshops will mass produce it if it was a viable product to release to the public.

Give me the Romo that hasn't sat idle for 6-8 weeks, and I'm not pessimistic. But I don't think he comes in and shakes off the injury rust in 1-2 games. Maybe I'm wrong, but I just don't see it.

And thats not even half of it...no good running game, and who knows what we'll have with Bryant. I don't care if its a cupcake schedule that has gotten the Panthers to where they are...they are still 6-0, the Packers have Rodgers, and division games are division games. I just don't see this team finishing better than 8-8.

I hope I'm wrong.
