What the hell does this even mean?

How did they take themselves out?
Dunbar was injured once tripping over his own ankle once in a preseason game and like Lee tore his ACL just running around.

Untouched.

Hence they took themselves out.

Lee came out with a busted lip recently but I don't see the point of any of this myself.

So are you trying to say his latest injury was self-inflicted?

Nevermind I need to just learn to ignore you when you go full blown hyperbole guy.

Murray should not have done everything last year, there was a noticeable decline in his play down the stretch and it would have been nice to see a fresher Murray in the playoffs.

A weapon like Dunbar could also tip the balance in playoff games when teams are keying in on all your tendencies.
Apparently we think a "utility" player is a "weapon".

They used a third scatback, then suddenly that player is OMGGR8.

No.

Can't wait until the stupid offseason talk that somehow Dunbar is like Sproles and that his loss was significant.

Fact is, Linehan plugged him into a role, he experienced some some success but that is it.

Who has said anything more than that?

He could have been plugged in last year as well.

Not sure how this is getting lost in translation. Dunbar got injured when no one touched him-- twice in his career.

It happens. Guys running down the field tear up acl's and hamstrings. Receivers making cuts blow out knees. I am still trying to correlate what the point is with Dunbar and injury. Bryant broke a bone in his foot with no contact. How would that equate to what you are trying to say?

I don't agree...we had to ride or die with Murray last year...he had great chemistry with the line and was solid catching the ball too. Randle got the leftovers...just was not time for Dunbar.last year.

I can live with injuries to Dez like this because he is an elite talent. Dunbar is replaceable...we just don't have another scat back on the roster.

I think last year was Linehan calling plays from Garrett's playbook, Garrett never that in his game plan and Linehan always has. So Linehan added it in and possibly de-emphasized the run in the process.

May be true but the issue was responsibility for injuries. I am trying to figure where Ravi is going with this.

Exactly what I said earlier: He's the same injury prone bitch he's always been.

Why is he on the roster exactly when he can never remain healthy?

Why did the organization get caught with its pants down when he met expectations and got injured again?

There's no replacement for Dunbar, just more Randle hence more three and outs.

This organization is too stupid to win, and it shows itself in too many of their choices for my comfort.

Did the loss of Dunbar really hurt us that much? Not trying to belittle the guy, because he has far exceeded my expectations this year but I don't think any team needs 2 receiving/scat backs on the roster. These aren't that hard of guys to find, if it is that vital to our team I'm sure we could have signed someone who sucks at running the ball but can basically be a WR out of the backfield.

It must be very hard, I guess. What I don't understand is why not throw more to McFadden if you know those short passes are working for you at least some of the time?

The loss of Romo has thrown the coaches for a complete loop. Hard to blame them, really.

What I don't understand is how this org goes and signs McFadden knowing he can't play. Like they actually believed their own bullshit about the offensive line being some kind of magical force that wins games all on its own.

A lot of good players are considered injury prone but they perform well when they aren't banged up. Sean Lee, Demarco Murray, Tony Romo to name a few. The do pretty well when they can play and so did Dunbar. He is no Demarco Murray but he showed some good production when he was called on.

We certainly agree on McFadden.

Irvin: "We Could End World Hunger" with Meat Joseph Randle's Leaving on the Bone

By Scott Crisp

Hall of Fame wide receiver and Dallas Cowboys legend Michael Irvin is actually pretty optimistic that the team is capable of getting the run game on track, but he isn’t sugarcoating his feelings on what we’ve already seen out of that particular part of the offense.

“People got on me pretty hard all offseason when I was talking about that, that you can't just stick anybody back there. It doesn’t work that way. I wish it did,” Irvin told ESPN Radio San Antonio, via the Dallas Morning News. “I know they're gonna give Christine Michael some run this week. That's the kicker. If this kid can get out and do some great running and get that run game back on track and you start talking about Dez coming back. Then you start looking like something. Hopefully, this week it'll get going. Ask Randle, do you see things a little differently now than you did before as you talk about DeMarco Murray? It ain't as easy as you think.”

Of course, this offseason, Joseph Randle told the press that DeMarco Murray had left “a lot of meat on the bone” last season, as he was in the process of breaking the franchise’s single-season rushing record.

Now, it’s only fair to ask, has Randle left much meat on the bone?

“All that meat on the bone,” Irvin said.*“We could all get full on it right now. We could end world hunger right now.”

:lol Damn. So true though.

I agree with what your saying Ravi, but I wonder which was the bigger fuck up, handing a known moron in Joseph Randle the starting role along with signing McFadden and thinking that would fill the huge hole Murray left, or keeping an injury prone bitch in Dunbar. Actually, Dunbar has outperformed the other two IMO.

I always liked Dunbar and I'm disappointed he's hurt yet again. At some point you have to move on from a guy who is always hurt.

I don't think the comparison to Lee is apt, because Lee is a much better player so you tolerate the issues more.
