he has to be a little more media savvy. bringing up guns and women (Brady's wife) was an unforced error.

What did he say about guns? The Brady's wife comment wasn't anything but funny. To say there was a problem with that tweet is ridiculous.

something about coming out with "guns blazing." when you're known for beating up your gf on a bed full of guns, it's best to avoid gun metaphors.

That's being pretty sensitive. Is he not allowed to use the word gun ever again?

he can say whatever he wants and critics can choose not to like it. that said, I don't see how ticking off Brady by gratuitously referencing his wife is supposed to help our cause. they guy is already on a mission because of deflategate.

I find it a little refreshing actually. I feel like our defense was starting to act like a bunch of softies who were ready to bend over and take it from Brady. Like it or not Hardy is a leader on this defense and I hope this attitide rubs off on the other guys. You can't go into a game with Tom Brady being afraid and that's basically what Hardy was saying in his own unique way.

Bill Belichick praises smart, instinctive, productive Sean Lee

by Jon Machota

Bill Belichick, who is not exactly known for his lengthy answers, passed along an interesting Sean Lee story during his Wednesday press conference. The Patriots head coach was praising the Cowboys weakside linebacker when he revealed that he met Lee at a young age.

"He's a kid that came up and visited us when I was in Cleveland - Pittsburgh - I remember him when he was just a little guy," the four-time Super Bowl champion head coach said. "He's a heck of a football player, really smart, really instinctive and very productive. It seems like he makes 10 tackles every game. I mean, I don't know what the numbers are, but he's in on a lot of plays and he's got his hands on a lot of balls."

Later in the press conference, a reporter asked the three-time NFL Coach of the Year if he heard him correctly when he said he met Lee while coaching in Cleveland.
"Yeah," Belichick responded. "What, were you on SnapFace there when we were talking about it? He's a Pittsburgh guy - friend of a friend kind of thing. He came out to practices a couple times. He wasn't the star that he is now."

Before cracking that joke, Belichick explained why he thinks Lee is "probably one of the most instinctive linebackers in the league."

"He's got a great nose for the ball, has a good anticipation in both the running game and the passing game, shows up in the right place at the right time, just really knows what's happening a lot of times before it occurs," Belichick said. "The interception he had against Philadelphia is one of the best plays you'll see, trying to just turn around, find the guy, go to him, make the interception.

"But he's made those plays throughout his career. He's got whatever it is - 12 or something like that career interceptions. That's a lot for a linebacker, especially given the number of games he's played."
He has kissed Witten's ass too.

That just basically Belichickian for the fact he will take them out of the game.

His gameplan to take Lee out would be easy. Just having your guys run right at him and get tackled. Everything, he'll hurt something.

No shit. If anyone was offended by a phrase that has been used millions of times they really should choke themselves.

I agree. This is some of that attitude we've been lacking.

Hardy probably is garbage. I won't argue with her on that, but the media was just waiting for him to open his mouth. He made the same joke about Brady having a hot wife that millions of other people make all the time, and used the phrase "gun blazing". WGAS. The guy is paid to hit quarterbacks, not speak in public. As long as he isn't breaking the law I don't really care what he does outside gameday.

He seems to be a great teammate and a football player so far. I don't know if he is a horrible human off the field but the fact is I don't really care much and if I did the reports from a clearly money hungry ex probably wouldn't sway me one way or another.
