I don't agree with that. From what I've seen as a pro, I think Randle is a better runner.
Randle's a small-time back on a team with some big guns. Sometimes they help him look the part, but mostly he's exposed as a very, very average runner.
I've posted about this guy a thousand times and people still refuse to believe even when it's plainly in front of them.
Michael has the speed and physicality Randle will never have, hence he's got the best potential.
As a matter of fact, I saw a stat the other day that said Randle was actually ranked 3rd in the league in average yards per rush after contact.
Yay for Randle. He can post this utterly stupid stat on his bedroom wall for his kids one day. So I guess he's better than all but 3 RB's in the league now?
Please stop with the delusions.
The biggest issue with our running game is that the OL is under-performing.
This is simply not true.
Sure they haven't played as well as last year, but that is a nearly impossible standard to keep meeting, especially with the obvious downgrade in coaching.
But that doesn't hold a candle to:
3) Losing your biggest receiving threat with no one stepping up to take up the slack.
2) Replacing your star QB with an unproven fool just because he was a #1 pick back in the day.
1) Losing a real RB in Demarco Murray, replacing him with Darren fucking McFadden and calling it a day.
Demarco helped the OL produce by grinding through even when they messed up. If the OL messes up with Randle, guaranteed it's a zero-gainer.
Randle can only get what the OL blocks for him. He's average.
