Barring the biggest collapse I will have ever seen, we are 7 days away from completing the most dominating effort in fantasy baseball of all time. Dolla bills, ya'll.

On par with my 2013 wire-to-wire dominance. Props. I'll have to settle for 3rd this year, though I'll have to hang on tight to ensure it. I'll take it considering I made mid-season trades that were mostly "give up" moves for 2015 in order to improve the keeper situation for 2016, and then subsequently rocketed up the rankings to get into the money anyway.

I think I was out of it so quickly that year, I don't remember the dominance. :lol

The Stanton deal still makes me question myself, but Bumgarner and those relievers got me back to where I at least had to be in pitching to win this yr. Had we not finished in 1st, it would have been a failed move. But MadBum has been so good, he's also worth keeping over Felix which I didn't expect.

Been awful quiet in here since the BoSox fan was popping off. 3 games gained in 3 days... Ouch.

Starting to look like the Astros will pass them for the division title, and the Twins will leave them on the outside looking in for the WC. :towel

We haven't even been getting Jerry Callow updates.

And we are at the same place you go when the Twins are losing.

I don't post in here much regardless. But if it makes you feel any better, I don't expect them to catch that last WC.

The Rangers motto that Bannister pushed this season is #nevereverquit. It really has been amazing how the team has bought into that and now after losing 3 straight at a crucial time I have to remind myself of that. I did expect a tough series in Houston with the pitchers they had going. Just need to get this series win against Detroit. We finish with the Angels and we haven't played well against them all year. I guess what I'm getting at is that this race is probably coming down to the last day (which is my birthday so come on and give me that division title).

Astros had M's and then Arizona. If they can't win those series to hold down the division than they don't deserve it.

That's pretty much the way I'm looking at the Twins' season. They've shown a resiliency this season that I didn't expect. Coming in to the year, I was hoping they'd be able to finish around .500, and start getting the young guys some experience. They've far exceeded those expectations for me. Rookies Miguel Sano and Eddie Rosario are looking like future studs, and Buxton has started to swing the bat better as of late. He's shown gold glove defense since his call up, but has struggled at the plate.

If we can find another pitcher this offseason, I think we can contend for the division next year. The experience of being in a playoff chase this year was an unexpected bonus, and will only help no matter how it turns out.

BTW, any of you guys interested in trading for a slap hitting first baseman that makes WAAAY too much money?

Unfortunately for Buxton, he'll never see that Gold Glove as long as Kevin Kiermeier is roaming CF.

Awards like that are nice for fans to talk about, but don't mean a whole lot. As long as he keeps playing the defense he is, I'm ok with Kiermeier winning them year after year. Then when it's contract time, him and his gold gloves will be over priced and headed to the Yankees. Buxton can stay right in Minnesota. :art

That's ok, it's what we do. We replace guys with players just as good on the cheap. Did it with going from BJ to KK, we'll do it again.

As rewarding as the NL East pennant is...I think watching the Nationals completely implode is just as rewarding.

I think the Pirates/Cubs are sitting in a good spot...they get the Cards, who have been awesome, but they are not awesome now. The WC winner may be the NL favorite. I also like the Mets match up with LA too...Kershaw and Greinke are not great to go against in 1 and 2, but the team as a whole has limped to the finish line.

If the Mets do end up playing the Cubs/Pirates in the NLDS I don't feel good about it. The Cubs have owned the Mets and the Pirates just have a very veteran, professional way about them that showed when we played them. It is going to be fun though...all these teams are exciting. IMO the AL pretty much sucks donkey dicks, but I could be a bit NL homerific.

I don't think you are wrong about the AL. I think Toronto would have the best chance out of the AL. I can only hope that the NL teams beat themselves up.

I think Toronto breezes to the WS. They hit the shit out of the ball and now Price gives them a guy who doesn't force them to need to score 10 runs in 2 of their games of the series.

For the NL, I'm hoping for either the Mets or Pirates. The Mets are fun to watch and I love teams that shorten the games down to 6 innings cause their pen is so nasty. The Pirates do that. Plus, the Dodgers are mentally weak and the Cubs and their Manager can go F themselves.
