I would love to see the Jets absolutely crush the Eagles today. And I think they will, with that defense.

How soon before that team just implodes and quits? Chip will be probably thinking of his exit strategy by mid season.
Yep, even if we lose, if the Jets kick the shit out of the Eagles it will be an okay day.

Sucks that Michael is inactive again.

This means the Falcons have two healthy backs, one of which is a rookie.

They are going to two step throw the hell out of the football.

As long as they run with McFadden as the backup, he won't see the field. I would give McFadden more work to decide if he can hack it. If not, sit his progress stopping ass down. Dunbar already has his niche role carved out for him.

It is almost impossible to carry four backs into a game when we are carrying injured players.

Sucks but that is just the way it is.

I agree that you can't carry 4 active, but I just wish the team would give Michael a chance in a game, which means benching McFadden.

The only surprise among Dallas' inactives is Geoff Swaim. Thought he would be in there with Witten likely limited a bit.

Scares me a little since that probably means less running, not more.

Bryant, Gregory, Leary, Mincey...that's a good chunk of the top end of the roster sitting on the bench.

Which is like I said. They need to give him more work to see him screw up and then justify moving on. He's a flash player that can look good here or there, but he's not consistent. I think Michael could be a better compliment to Randle. We need more of a power guy. It just seems we are out of sync running the ball and they need to get into an aggressive rhythm running between the tackles. They seem to be running more pitch and perimeter plays and not even the stretch zone as much. It is frustrating to watch so far.

The league needs to tell the officials to draw back. There have been way too many penalties called the first 2 weeks+

It usually tails off as teams adjust to what they are calling.

I'm hoping they're only overdoing it because someone in the league office told them to focus in on certain penalties. We've seen that before where something like the enforcement of illegal contact penalties are emphasized early in the year but by the time players break out pink gear for ta-ta awareness month the refs have eased up on excessively calling that penalty.

McFadden could actually be a factor in today's game if he doesn't curl up first. I think the Falcon run defense is softer than what he has seen so far. If he gets a few long runs he will get the bit in his mouth and be productive.
