You would think that Cousins is the safer option but the numbers don't support it. Check out these numbers.

Looks to me like Cousins puts the team in a hole more often than RGIII does. Also, Cousins doesn't produce the yardage and TDs to make up for all of his mistakes.
That's what I'm saying. I think Skins fans and some observers got excited about Cousins because he was anyone not named RG3. But they forgot that he sucks, too. And IMO he doesn't even offer much, if any, upside.

I admit I don't keep up with that team beyond what I see here or on other boards, but I have a hard time believing Griffin is that bad, or that bad a character. It's seemed to me from the start that it was something else going on behind the scenes. Gruden has seemed to hate him from the start for some reason.

He seems like a prototypical coach-killer. Crazy athletic skills coming out of college, super high profile, huge cost to the team, significant early success, direct line to the owner, leading to the coach who drafted him being fired after the next year. Ultimately, he possesses a skill set ill-suited for the NFL. Little experience reading defenses or playing in a pro-set. Fragile. Does not have the build to absorb the punishment the NFL imposes on mobile QBs; terrible results as a pocket passer. Less dynamic as a result of injury. Unable to replicate the success of his first year.

Didn't Griffin have difficulties with Shanahan as well?

Based on what I know I am of the same impression. He apparently was on a pedestal early in life and it doesn't serve him well.

RG3 could not be any worse than Cousins. The biggest problem for him is what they gave up to get him...which he had no part of. Jay Gruden is a dick like his brother, but players at least bought into what he was selling. He led the 10th ranked offense to get the Skins job...he did not exactly take the NFL by storm. His last name just happened to be Gruden. They are not going to get right for a long time.

I hope the Skins keep Cousins behind center until they play the Cowboys. The last time McCoy was there he leveled Dallas.

That's the sole reason that he's not starting in Washington, IMO.

If he didn't make waves and just blended in with the group, making himself just 'one of the guys', he'd still be the starter.

Dull game.

Not the Raven/Steeler death matches like they used to be.

Want to complain about Weeden?

Imagine Mike Vick as your backup.
