That spin was ridiculous. I think he is going to be a good wide receiver in college and even play Sunday's. Too athletic and he can catch. Scary
Yeah his first catch of the game showed he isn't just a QB playing WR. He actually has some hands.

so much for Virginia Tech being competitive in this game. Michael Brewer is out with a collarbone injury
Funny how they show him at halftime that it's "Gonna take a helluva lot more than that to take me out of the game", and then they knock him out on the very next drive.

I actually like the player and felt bad he went down. OSU's defensive line (even without Joey Bosa) looks like they are manhandling. Can't say the kids not tough he's stuck in the pocket the whole first quarter getting piledriven into the ground

Obviously these polls mean nothing and are purely speculative but 10 SEC teams in the top 25 is comical and goes to show the level of bias given to those teams.

Alabama and A&M had good games against good competition so no hate thrown in their direction.

But I laugh when the storyline after TCU plays a true road game against a good Minnesota team is about hey the “struggled”. But Auburn beats Louisville in a neutral site game and that game is talked up as if Auburn beat a top 25 team. Both teams won by about a TD margin but somehow Auburn’s win is viewed as more impressive.

Also, look around the rest of the conference and take note of all the teams that made significant moves up the polls for beating up on teams like Tennessee- Martin, SE Missouri St., Bowling Green, UTEP, etc.

Oklahoma beat Akron handedly only giving up 3 points in the process and they didn’t budge in the rankings.

Bowling Green hangs 30 on Tennessee….Tennessee is rewarded by moving up a few spots in the poll.

As usual what we’re going to see is a bunch of “ranked” SEC teams beating up on each other, as they like to say, pointing at a win over another over-rated team as a win over a ranked opponent.

SEC Team X: “We beat <Insert “ranked” SEC Team>, so that’s a quality win.

It’s resume padding at its best.

I just shake my head and laugh. About the only thing these polls are good for are generating conversation.

Yeah. I raise this issue every season and few take notice. Last season I singled out Alabama as the media's darling and guess what? At the end of the year Ohio State took the championship and were barely noticed in the preseason polls.

This was the point I was making when shit SEC teams like Ole Miss were being treated like true champion contenders.

You can throw Auburn, A&M, and LSU into that group as well. Nowhere other than the SEC is a win over a 4 loss team considered a “quality” win.

Oregon beats 4 loss Utah….no credit is given. Hell, Oregon may even drop a spot for not beating them by 3 TDs.

But there’s no bias….or so I’m told.

its only week 1 guys. The Rankings mean absolute dick right now. If there are 10 or even 7 SEC teams in the top 25 halfway through the season then we can start screaming

You're missing the entire point. When you start them all at the top like this you set the conference up to always have lots of highly ranked teams. Afterall when one SEC team beats another they aren't just beating anyone, they are beating an elite team based in these early rankings. So when people go back later and talk about strength of schedule the SEC schools will always look better.

So Strong has already changed playcallers following that debacle on Saturday.

Unless the new playcaller can perform a magic spell that will turn our awful QBs into good players, the different play calls won't matter.

He could just call a run play every down.

Our best bet with these QBs probably would be to run a Tom Osborne-like Nebraska offense, but our RBs suck too.

You gotta be dumb to try to get a running QB with no passing skills in the west coast offense. Not only that but it takes time to work. Charlie ain't got no time.

You'd be better off getting DKR back in the building to run the Bone.
