Damnit.

I was talking to my dad the other day about our upcoming season and how good I thought the team might be.

I told him that while I thought that last season was not a fluke, I did think there was a lightning in a bottle feel to it in certain aspects. For for the first time in the Tony Romo era, everything just went our way. From the overall health of the team, the right calls at the right time, the ball bouncing our way when it used to bounce the other, etc.

For that reason, I told him I wasn't completely confident that this team could replicate what they did last year.

Well, this is our first bad break of 2015 and the season hasn't even started. I don't know what it is, but I just have this gut feeling that this won't be the last bit of bad things to go against us this year.
We were fortunate with injuries last year outside of Lee, which is admittedly a big one, bigger than Scandrick, but people just brush that off because he's injury prone. Of course there is a better chance than not that we regress to the mean in that regard.

If this team can't overcome losing Orlando Scandrick, then it was not meant to be.

Just think, he got hurt defending a dipshit UDFA punt returner who can't even field the ball correctly or hang onto it after contact.

If a guy is getting hurt, I would prefer it to be against someone relevant.

Does it really matter who he was covering?

It looked like it was non-contact, it was probably a ticking time bomb.
Whitehead ran right into him causing his knee to buckle. How would that be non-contact?

You're right, because that's how I looked at the Sean Lee injury as well.

I didn't view it as this huge blow, I saw it as getting the inevitable out of the way. We always end up missing him for an extended period of time, so I didn't view his injury as being a crucial blow to the team at that time. Some of that had to do with the fact that I thought we'd win 6 or 7 games, but still.

This particular injury, however, will hurt the team and they will miss him. We just better hope Claiborne can be something other than pure shit and that Jones can play ok as a rookie. It also would benefit us greatly if we were able to mount a great pass rush.

This seemed like a good idea at the time.

I guess I'm in the minority as far as concern. Scandrick was easily the best CB on the field last year, and probably would have been this year too unless Jones is the next Deion.

Carr? Claiborne?

:lol

Looked like his knee buckled when he slid before the contact, the contact made it worse but it looked like his knee gave as he was sliding in, and then the contact just finished it off.

Correct, the contact bent his knee further.

How would that make a difference?

Well, we have drafted two CBs in the last five years in the first round.

Make it so, Jerry.

He was having a shitty camp and offseason too.

Female issues.

I don't think we lost the Scandrick we had who was playing for a contract and didn't have some bitch messing with his mind.

It sucks, but it is not like something that any sort of preparation could have covered us for.

He got hurt. Move on.

Let Patmon step up. He seems to have the same skillset.
