Saw the preview for the new Heroes on NBC.

I have to say, I have a little bit of nostalgia for the show. At least the first two seasons.

May give it a shot.

I liked the finale of True Detective...everyone got a chance to shine...although the killer of Caspere was unimpressive. Farrell was excellent though.

I haven't been watching the 2nd season. Now that it is over, would you say is it worth it? My wife and I really enjoyed the first season, but don't watch too much TV together - we still haven't finished the latest GoT season

It is definitely worth a watch...but admittedly it is not close to the first season. Most shows are not, the first season was just hard to live up to for this season. The first season of the show had an almost mystical feel to it...Spaghetti Monster, Yellow King, etc. This is a little more straight forward.

The story is not as strong this year, but the performances of Farrell and McAdams are to be commended. Vaughn and Kitsche to a degree too...Kitsche finished strong.

I haven't seen the finale yet, but Kitsche has impressed me this far. This series and his performance in Lone Survivor have shown me some chops I didn't think he had.

I always thought something was there with Kitch, what he did in FNL coming from Canada was impressive.

But his movie choices have sucked Battleship and John Carter did him no favors.

It's not a case of the week show, everything done serves a purpose to the end game.

They start tying things together over the next few shows. but really they are just showing you what makes Raylan tick, once you understand that everything comes together.
Stuck with it. Enjoyed Season 1 just starting season 2.

The quality stays the same but some of the season long plots are better that the others.

I think season 2 is the Mags Bennett season which might be the best.

This is your warning. If you planned on checking out Craig Robinson's new show on NBC, Mr. Robinson, don't do it.

The show flat out sucks.

The story lines suck. The writers sucks. The jokes are lame and are mostly composed of tired cliches. And to top it all off they basically stole the whole failed musician to music teacher bit from the Steve Harvey Show and School of Rock. Throw in a little Hanging with Mr. Cooper as well.

I like Robinson so I was looking forward to the show and hoped that it would do well. But after 3 episodes I was done. I didn't even bother watching the 4th episode.

I wasn't planning on watching it, but it was on the TV the other night prior to the Hall of Fame game.

You are right. It is ridiculously awful. Truly one of the worst sitcoms I have ever seen.

It was something that looked like it belonged on the Disney Channel.

Great call. That's about where the humor level was......Zack and Cody-ish.

Which is sad because I think Craig Robinson is the kind of guy who could put on a great show for like HBO where cussing and nudity are acceptable.

If that is his niche, he should do it. There are plenty of network sitcoms that are funny without it. This is just garbage that if he had any dignity, he wouldn't associate with.

I don't think Craig Robinson is a show carrying talent, I like most of the stuff he is in but he has never really stood out IMO.

I watched the finale of True Detective again and watching Ferrell and Vaughn finish out the season was good stuff. Both finished strong and I was particularly invested in Ferrell. He was far and away the best thing about this season.

That could be too but I think family friendly is so far away from what he has done in his career that it is just a terrible fit. I guess maybe he thought he could be a Jack Black and be capable of doing both.

Excited to watch Fear The Walking Dead, mainly because it tells the story prior to Rick waking up in the hospital.

How society would break down in that situation is by far the most interesting part to me of the whole zombie genre.

I don't give a shit about the running away from the zombies and shit. Unless they are fast like the ones in World War Z.

Yep, been stoked for this for a while. Props to Rev for reminding me it starts tonight. I would have missed it otherwise.
