He probably just had to take a little time off to go buy some underwear.

Get Randle off the field.

1) Can't afford to get him hurt, because he is basically IT at RB.

2) Need to evaluate the kids with some live tackling. Must learn who else can't break arm tackles on this team. (sigh)

He hasn't accepted the offer, yet.
Crap. This is why all the people that are saying we should wait and see, rather than going by what you already know in what your eyes are telling you and what common sense would dictate, are wrong.

You run the risk, when you were waiting, of missing out on a guy who could potentially Help you.Maybe even help a lot.
Forgot Ben Tate was still out there. Just two years removed from a pretty decent season. I'd kick the tires.

This is just getting stupid now.

I'd get it if we drafted a 1st or 2nd rounder RB, or if it was a legit starting RB we signed in the offseason. With those guys, you give it some time before you start bringing guys in.

But what we have is 3 unproven players, with 2 of them being bums, as far as I'm concerned. We are in no position to be sitting on our asses just waiting to see how things pan out. It's starting to piss me off how little urgency we're showing this position, which IMO, is the 2nd most important behind the QB given the way we intend to win games.

Go get a fricking RB already.....shit.

I have been saying this for weeks but it bears repeating. Jone s is going with his original RB plan and the only thing that will change it is essentially a season ending injury to one or more of them.

Yea, when I saw the interview where he was reminiscing about McFaddens Arkansas days it became clear he's in "roster is set" mode at rb

Jerry at his finest.

DMac should be on IR in no time, but unfortunately we are running out of RB options to replace him with.

Stephen Jackson, come on down.

Greg Hardy to see action versus San Diego Chargers

Todd Archer, ESPN Staff Writer

OXNARD, Calif. -- While Dallas Cowboys coach Jason Garrett did not want to get into the specifics of who will play and how much they will play in Thursday’s preseason opener against the San Diego Chargers, he let slip that defensive end Greg Hardy will see action.

Hardy played in just one game last season for the Carolina Panthers before being placed on the commissioner’s exempt list months after a domestic violence incident in Mecklenberg (N.C.) County.

Garrett said Hardy will follow a similar plan to what the Cowboys used for Orlando Scandrick in the face of a four-game suspension last year. Scandrick did not play in the preseason opener last year but he did play in the final three games, including the finale in which most of the starter sat.

Hardy, like most of the starters who will dress, is not likely to play long.

“This will be his first game playing, so you want to be careful about saying, ‘OK you’re going to play 80 reps in this game because that will catch you all up,’” Garrett said. “We’re going to progress him normally like you would after two weeks of training camp and hopefully it’ll be good positive work for him.”

Hardy has yet to make a decision on whether to take legal action against the NFL to seek a further reduction in his suspension. He was initially suspended 10 games by commissioner Roger Goodell but had it reduced to four on appeal by Harold Henderson.

That's not cool at all, MacHahon deserves a smack for that.

I guess all symbols of professionalism are gone.

Yeah its funny but for a professional writer to go there is just tasteless and if I was Jerry he would be iced out of any team credentials.

Yeah it was funny but funny is not the job of a reporter.

How do you go into that locker room and expect players to tell you anything when you are goofing on them like that.

If you don't understand why this is an issue you don't understand journalism.

You just seem to think that journalism is like how it used to be. It isn't.

The good ol' days of a grizzled cigar chomping beat writer just interested in the facts has been replaced by guys who honestly are searching for whatever pub they can to keep themselves relevant.

How can he be iced when he does not cover the Jets.:dunce

But yeah reporters are getting a little ahead of themselves with the jokes, I guess everybody wants to make it on around the horn.

And I am not a get off my lawn guy but this stuff is crossing a line IMO.

Yeah I know and it usually does not bother me but this was just over the line.

I love a good zinger but McMahon went full on Deadspin and that's not the place of a beat writer.
