I think we should all just be prepared for a terribly bad preseason. Keeping in mind of course last year that we didn't win a single preseason game and ended up with a 12 win season.
I'm pretty sure we'll all act like the sky is falling instead.

On Thursday night I'll be most interested in seeing what the pass rush looks like.
Same. I'm really excited to see how much improvement was actually made this offseason.

Not only did we go 0-4 but we looked pretty average in doing so. The defense wasn't too bad from what I remember but the offense didn't do much of anything. Of course Romo missed the first game, played sparingly in the 2nd, although he had a TD to Dez, and then the offense was pretty much stymied against a tough Dolphins defense in the 3rd game. Romo had less than 100 yards in a half or so and I don't think Murray had too much success either.

All in all, I don't give one single fuck what happens for the most part as long as we stay healthy.

It's so hard to judge the development of the D-line from practice reports because our offensive line is so good. It will be nice to see what they can do against some more standard offensive lines.

See I remember our defense just looking horrific and everyone bitching that it was another "Here we go again" scenario.

Exactly.

:rolleyes

He's always "dealing with a couple of different things". Whatever. If they get anything at all out of him this season it is gravy, but the guy is absolutely unreliable. I expect little to nothing from him.

Sounds like it's going to be a rough day of practice for the offense.

Since Weeden will be running the show, there should be an asterisk placed next to the practice notes.

Don't punish the borderline receivers just because the QB sucks.

Am I the only one who doesn't think McFadden will make the final roster?

If you are saying you think McFadden will not make the roster, I am on board with that. If he does he will likely be on the injury list. I stated as such earlier.

at this point I think we should start talking trade for a RB.
I think it's still a little early for that. Might as well wait until teams are forced to make a decision on their own RBs and may be cutting one that we can pick up for a conditional draft pick. Plus it gives us time to see if Gus Johnson can kind of carry the momentum he has built or if Seastrunk is a real player or not.

I think we can all agree Randle is a stud waiting to be but the rest of the depth chart is scary.

I wouldn't go that far. I think a decent UDFA will shake loose towards the end of the preseason.

I'd rather take my chances with an unproven rookie than put my faith in D. Mac being healthy and available.

The McFadden signing is playing out like 99.99% of us thought it would.

McFadden will not only make the team but will be a weapon for us. 500+ yds and 5 TDs.

As it is written, it will be so.

From what I remember the 1st team defense looked decent, the backups were pretty bad. Of course that perception may have been due to my low expectations so maybe the fact that they didn't allow points on every drive was enough to make me think they looked decent.

The offense was really sluggish against Miami in the dress rehearsal though. Romo was sacked a few times, Murray couldn't do much of anything and I think they only managed 3 or 6 points. We all see how that turned out though.

And yes, still too early to make a trade for a RB. If the situation is still looking bad 3 weeks from now I'd say it's time to consider trading for someone like Lamar Miller or Isaiah Crowell, but in the mean time let's just see what happens unless a great deal comes along.

A guy like Ronnie Hillman could get cut in a couple of weeks and Chris Johnson is always around too.
