Cut his ass. I think it's safe to say McFadden hasn't turned over a new leaf.

The only time he turns over anything is to get to the next page of his medical bills.

I got the impression McFadden wants to practice, but the team is being overly cautious with him.

Anyone see McFadden's name anywhere on that list?

I don't see Ro McClain or Boatright either. Could be that injured players aren't listed.

Dunbar, T. McClain, and Carr are all on there and they are all injured.

Who thought MacFadden would even come off the bench. I did not nor do I expect him to contribute squat to this team. He hasn't so far and there is no reason to think he will. Jones made the biggest player decision mistake in the RB system this year and he will choke on it before he changes his mind.

If they've been PUP since camp started, they're not listed. Boatright is on there, 3rd string RDE.
I guess I don't understand what you're saying. Carr and Dunbar weren't PUP and they aren't on there. Plus McFadden, obviously.

Most on this board have irrational opinions when it comes to highly drafted/expensive FA CBs.

And yet guys like Sterling Moore step in and play well.

And guys like Carr and Claiborne that cost money and resources suck ass.

We are just so used to no pass rush for nearly twenty years, we overvalue corners.

I've never said he was lazy or worthless either; just that we overpaid (and shouldn't have signed him to that contract).

Well, look at what everyone thinks 3 years later...

There were a lot that said that so take that hand off your back and spread it around.

I'm right there with you on Claiborne. He's sucked ass since day 1. He's a bust.....just like many other players that play DE, QB, WR, etc. who are drafted in the top 10. But no one flips out about those guys being busts.

We draft or sign a CB and he has to play perform at a prob bowl level otherwise that player gets crushed. Why are we holding CBs to a different standard?

As for Carr, I thought he played well in 2012. 2013 was decent. 2014 he was shaky for most of the year. But I still wouldn't classify him as overpaid.

The market has been set for DBs with his skill set. The economics of the game have changed. You and mschmidt64 act like CBs should still be drawing a salary comparable to their early 90s counterparts.

I didn't suggest that, but as we've seen, it's easy to overpay these players due to a misunderstanding of how to create a good defense. And in the future we should let other teams do the overpaying and we should swoop in for the bargains later.

It's weird how guys on a message board know how to build an NFL defense, but actual NFL coaches and GMs haven't figured it out yet.

Somebody should send them a link to the board.
