The mods almost completely ignored Carson and Cruz. Huckabee and Rubio did better than I thought. I want Christie and Bush to just go away.

You people were supposed to live chat about this thing so I didn't have to watch it. From the news I've read it went just about the way you would expect a debate with Trump to go

It was a train wreck, how any one could vote for any of those guys is beyond me. No policy no substance, just empty rhetoric, gnashing of teeth/whining re the president and Hillary.

The Governor from Ohio was the only viable candidate from the group and Fox pretty much ignored him.

Because he wasn't a wind bag. Trump was the most "entertaining" so he got the most attention.

I wish I could say I'm still backing Rand, but I'm fucking sick of hearing him schill to church ladies.

I hate to say it but Hillary is the best candidate we have. Keep in mind I would vote for either of the pres candidates from 2012 over her.

I'd like to say I support Bernie, and I like the guy. But I can't support a no shit socialist no matter how good his other policies are.

Nothing brings you screaming back to the mainstream like this gaggle of fringe candidates.

At this point I'd just like a candidate who won't f*ck the country up worse. Which basically mean Bernie and Hilary you're both out and most of the republican candidates.

Rand is the only one who actually talks about issues that matter and has a legit plan for that stuff. The problem is he won't be nominated unless he panders to the Republican party more. And then by pandering he loses everything that makes him great.

Kasich came across pretty well for me.

At the end of the day I know Rand would make waves in areas that every other single candidate on that stage wouldn't. His pandering to old church ladies is annoying, but I know already that he would go toe to toe with the establishment on important issues regarding taxation, personal liberties and civil rights, and defense spending/military incursions.

Can you say that about any of the other doofuses up there?

And the socialist party candidates like Clinton and Sanders would do some of it, but they'd also jack up tax rates, spend us into oblivion, and appoint judicial candidates who arr straight out of the 1960s counter culture movement.

My concern with Sanders is that he would expand the welfare system even further. I have no question in my mind that he would intend to. Just depends if he can actually get it passed or not. Clinton I just don't trust one bit. That lady is shady as shit. I think she'd do anything she could to make her own life better and not give a shit about anyone else.

Hillary isn't going to be socialist. She's the status quo personified. She's going to be dealing with a congress primed to impeached on day 1.

I think she'll be afraid to court controversy.

I would be afraid of her handicapping American energy for middle eastern interests and labeling it "environmentalism"

I think she is a real life version of Francis Underwood. OK maybe not killing people but you get the idea.

The one thing nice about Sanders is he does actually sell himself to voters under 60. I don't think welfare will play well enough in the house and senate to get over either.

The problem is most voters love the idea of free stuff. I Sanders gets elected it may be difficult for the House and Senate to shoot that stuff down without alienating some of their voting base.

It depends how the 2016 turnout looks. The house has been really damn conservative forever and conservatives hate welfare with a passion.
