It wouldn't matter if Collins was a #1 pick he is still a rookie and will have to make the transition to the pros. He will likely be a quick study but will have to prove he is the better player at whatever position. He may get the nod sometime this season but it just isn't here yet.

It's nice we don't need him yet, a luxury backup if you will.

I hate that people make it seem like you either have to hate Leary and love Collins or Love Leary and hate Collins. I like both of them a lot. I think Leary is an excellent player and a very underrated starter on this O-line. I think he a big part of why our running game was so dominant when running to the left side. He blew guys up in the running game.

I think Collins is an elite level prospect. One of the best run blockers in college football, if not the best. I think he has the potential to be a dominating run blocker in the NFL who is also really good in pass protection. I'm excited to see him play because I think the sky is the limit with his potential. It doesn't matter to me which guy starts at LG next year. Usually I'd say a talent like Collins is a shoe in, but rarely does a rookie with Collins talent face competition as good as Leary. Usually an elite O-lineman gets drafted to a team so in need of talent that he is basically guaranteed to start.

Yep. His acquisition makes for an extra scoop of ice cream. He is a bonus and will find his niche. He will just have to jump through a few hoops for a while but there is a real luxury by having him that few teams get the opportunity to experience.

This was not a dig at Collins just not seeing what he did there as awe-inspiring, 2 of the guys he knocked over ran into him.
I bet they regretted doing it too (running into that brick wall of a man).

Can you please record an "Indian-guy fist pump" and post it please? Thank you.
