4 is what I expected, although I'm still not sure why Adrian Peterson's suspension counted during last season but Hardy was suspended all of last season and none of that counted. I don't think appealing this will hurt at all. I just don't think his odds of doing better are all that great.

It isn't about being happy about having an unjust suspension reduced, though. His argument would be based on the fact that his suspension fell under the old personal conduct policy, where the suspension is 2 games. He can also argue in court that his suspension should be nullified due to the case being dismissed in court and because he already served a 15 game suspension for the infraction last season.

Now, I'm not suggesting that he should pursue this in court, but he would have a reasonable case.

Why? What does he have to lose? They aren't going to be all, "You should have been happy with 4. We are now putting it back to 10 because you weren't grateful!".

It's a free shot at getting it down to 2, or even eliminated if the judge follows the precedent that has already been set.
