You hammer his crippled ass in the first half, and the rest of the day too. He couldn't run, yet we practically couldn't lay a glove on him.
He didn't come off as crippled. We rushed him pretty well, and I assume he got some good drugs in the locker room, because he looked perfectly mobile.

He was gimpy in the first half when he was slinging the ball wildly. He looked fine in the 2nd half. It was Romo who was limping back to the huddles.

And yeah, we were able to sack him twice in the first half and cause a fumble which didn't count as a sack. But like the good teams do, GB adjusted at halftime by mostly going away from the deep and intermediate throws and focusing on dump-offs, shallow crosses, and curls (only throwing long twice in the 2nd vs. 5 in the 1st) and we didn't lay a finger on Rodgers. Our failure to respond to their adjustment is my issue with it.

I mean, I just today finally re-watched this game and there's no doubt Rodgers was having mobility issues especially in the first half.

They adjusted, we never did. That's been a problem in Dallas for quite some time.

You keep saying this when all logical indications are that will be greatly reduced.

Why?
Because he is suspended for 10 game suntil it is reduced. I hope this is changed but until it is, he isn't much in the picture for the upcoming season. The logical conclusion at the moment is he could miss most of the season.

They didn't rush him at all. No one got close to him all day to force him to change his game plan. They touched him acouple times but fell back into coverage schemes again.

There was definitely a difference in his first and 2nd half mobility. We could have done more, game-plan wise, but Rodgers was fucking laser accurate in the 3rd and 4th quarters.

I think better personnel would have made more difference than better game-planning. From what I've heard about the Cover 2, it's about reflexes and athleticism, and not as strategically intensive. I think better players on the pass rush, and in coverage would have made all of the difference.

That being said, the game could have been in hand. I forgot how many opportunities we wasted.

You apparently watched a different game than me.

He averaged taking only 1.5 sacks per game the entire year, and we grounded him twice in just the first half. They recognized this and adjusted, giving him many more plays where he didn't need to hold the ball for very long, and we simply ignored it. If by frikkin god we can sack him twice in the first half, it isn't a personnel problem if we can't do it in the 2nd. It is a coaching problem.

Some of that talent is on the back burner for part of the season and part is working on presumed hope. There are some unanswered questions at this point regarding the various unknowns.
There are always unknowns. Let's try to use experience as a guide to the possible. We believe that the talent infusion will bear fruit. Of course we don't know. But we have good reason to believe that a number of moves that have infused the defense with talent will indeed pay off.

This has got to be reduced, it would amaze me if it didn't. It's taking forever, though.

Currently he is on no suspension as the appeals process works it's way out.
Cute. But we both know his current status is a 10 game suspension unless he gets a different ruling in the appeals process. No one believes that the appeal will be held up until the season is over. Before the season starts the likelihood is his game suspensions will either be lowered or the current ruling will be upheld. The current ruling is 10 games.

I definitely believe his suspension will be reduced, particularly if he takes it to federal court like he is saying. When the incident in question happened the most punishment he could have received was a 2 game suspension.

We all hope that happens but as I said from the beginning, for the defense to be what the anticipation level is, some things are going to have to happen. Hardy' s status is one of those things.

The defensive line is better than last year...I don't have to wait and see or wait for something to have happen.

I hope you are correct but like it or no we will both have to wait and see.

It's not being cute, it's factually based. Meaning once that appeal is filed there is no judgment. Right now he has no suspension at all. Now odds are eventually a suspension will be handed down but no retard believes it will be for 10 games. In fact if it is upheld for 10 games, it will be appealed to the court system. Which will once again prevent him from missing games while the court system hears the appeal and makes a decision. At which time they have already set a precedent of 4 games for these types of offense.

So yes, right now there is no suspension. If I put the over under on a number of games he will miss, I'd say odds on favorite would be 4.
