I liked Seastrunk a lot coming out, but not sure why Washington moved on from him so quickly. Not like they had great depth and Helu was a season away from Fa.
Carolina and Tennessee dumped him too.

This is pretty much my feeling. I liked the player. Not sure why he fell so far in the draft and not sure why he has bounced around the NFL early in his career. I think he is at least worth a strong look. Squatty RB who plays with some power but also has the quickness to make guy miss and make big plays.

Wade Wilson is the worst. To reference Office Space, "What would you say... ya do here, Wade?"
Also, Brandon Weeden is a fat-headed chump. In no way should he ever be on an NFL roster and he should never actually be considered an NFL quarterback. He's bad and he should feel bad. Worthless scrub.

Wade Wilson, the most hated man in Dallas. I'm still not sure exactly why, although I sure do hate the name Wade ever since Wade Phillips.

I don't hate him, but the guy is pretty much worthless.

Has he ever done anything in regards to coaching up any of our QBs that would lead you to believe that he contributes anything of importance?

While I'm sure not making Romo feel threatened played a big part in us always going after shitty backup QBs, my guess is his input was taken into account when making those decisions and he was probably in favor of bringing in some of those washed up scrubs.

The only decent option we've signed in his entire time as QB coach was Orton.

It's always hard to tell. Garrett I'm sure plays a massive hand in QB choices. So do our professional scouts. I don't know how much authority a position coach is really given in regards to the players brought in.

A QB coach is mostly about developing the QB on the roster. I'm sure some would argue that Romo just had his best season ever. Can you attribute any of that to Wade Wilson or does he get no credit since Romo is a veteran? Obviously we haven't been able to develop any young QBs, is that on Wade or is that on a lack of resources being used on the position. The whole Wade thing is just interesting to me because I honestly don't know what to think of the guy.

No, he doesn't get credit for Romo suddenly having a better than average year. He was here all the years that Romo couldn't dial it back and play situational football when we were winning. You expect us to believe he was doing a great job and only just now got through to Romo? No, Linehan has been the first coach to get onto Romo about his mistakes in years. That's been pretty widely reported, and it's a pretty big indictment of Wilson. He hasn't been doing his job.

I think the most damning thing about WW is his resume without Romo. The guy coached the Cowboys QBs from 2000 to 2002, and the Bears from 2004-2006. Both franchises sucked all of the ass at developing QBs with him there. They sucked so much that Chad Hutchinson was a lead passer on both teams. Now 8 years after he first showed up and we've never managed to develop a passable backup.
Another way of saying this is that it took exactly the 4 years he was gone to develop an UDFA into a franchise QB.

Romo has actually improved over the course of his career. Now whether that is Wade or not is a different question. Romo over the course of his career though has fixed a fumbling problem and continually cut down on his interceptions. I think people sometimes forget what a turnover machine he was early in his career.

I'm not saying it's Wade. Hell could just be the natural progression as a QB playing more and more games. Just not sure anything Wade has done in Dallas really justifies the view that he is a totally worthless turd.

Romo's passing mechanics changed last year. The ball often pointed flat, parallel to the ground almost for longer in the air. Whatever he did, he was clearly as or more accurate than he's ever been.

You've gotta think the QB coach has something to do with it, though Romo often describes his "tinkering" with mechanics as something he does by himself.

Nice job cherry picking out a legitimate criticism of his coaching because you couldn't respond to it. It's been reported that Garrett and Wilson hadn't been getting onto Romo about his mistakes in practice and Linehan took a more hands on role coaching him. If Wilson is so good, why did Linehan have to step in and do his job for him.

What do you mean getting into him? I don't know that chewing out a 30 something adult really accomplishes much. I'd disagree if you think Romo needed to be laid into to get anything out of him.

So, he didn't need to be called on his mistakes and coached on how to correct them? Cool, so what IS Wade Wilson supposed to do?

Parcells seemed to disagree with your theory. Keeping Romo under a tight leash was something he talked about while he was here and after he left.

Also, results kind of disagree too. If Romo had been coached to notice when we were winning and not take stupid risks, we could have come out of games against the Jets, Lions and Packers with wins in recent years among others.

Romo didn't seem to be getting better at not doing that from 2011-2013, while Wilson was collecting a check here, for some reason.
