Just goes to show you how desperate teams are for QB talent. Guy shows a moderate level of competence, gets a huge contract.
Yep. I don't even think his ceiling is all that high. All it takes is to not suck.

Not sure how much his contract has to do with Romo's. It's not even in the same realm as Romo's in terms of money but he also isn't in the same realm in terms of production either.
Wasn't Romo's guaranteed money about 50 mill?

NYG OT William Beatty hurt in practice, potentially tearing pectoral muscle which will put him out for 6 months.

Eereck was drafted to start, but I'm pretty sure Beatty was still expected to start someplace along the line.
Optimally, Flowers would have been at RT, with Pugh moving inside.

Flowers is a brutal run blocker, very powerful and probably would have been better off there.

Beatty getting hurt was not a good thing for them.

Um a player can walk away from the contract at any time that they want to. They just can't sign with another NFL team. In the same token an NFL team can walk away from the contract as well. Seems pretty two sided to me.

Well, Peterson is the same guy who compared the NFL to slavery, so...

Hmmmm. I was under the impression that by definition a contract had to have two or more in agreement and executed by both or more. Even in a unilateral arrangement.

Tough position for the Panthers to be in...I don't think he's got it, but I think he's Top 15 and the surest option out there.

Could you cut bait and start over?
