Wade is now suggesting that his lack of production if the fault of Lebron and/or Spoelstra.

He basically suggested that the stand-around-and-watch-Lebron offense is like that by design.

I don't buy it.

Even when he's had his chances, he has played poorly, period.
Fall apart at the seams. Come on. Make it happen.

I would love to see the Pacers win this thing but you are right. The NBA isn't going to let the All Star Heat get beat by this no stars Pacers team.

On a side note I have always thought Wade was extremely overrated. He always seems to get a bunch of bullshit fouls to go his way, but in terms of actual ability I don't think he is that special.
Wade's been dealing with injuries the last couple of seasons but during his first 8 years in the league he was easily the 2nd best SG in the NBA, right behind Kobe.

The thing that makes me dislike him is that he's a drama queen and one of the biggest floppers in league history. Superstar players shouldn't flop as much as Wade does. Flopping is a tactic for role players.

I want the Pacers to win but I have the Heat winning tonight. I'm expecting LeBron to go for at least 40. I don't know what Bosh and Wade are going to bring to the table but I'm expecting LeBron to go off.

Wade is certainly an elite player, but he just bitches constantly. He became infinitely more unlikable after the superteam was put together than Lebron has. But prior to that, he was a superstar going back to his days at Marquette.

But he is an elite player now? I don't think he is.

I think he's a good to very good player now and sometimes an average one depending on his injuries. I said it over a year ago and I feel it rings even more true now - they should trade him and get a few more solid pieces around Lebron. Trade him while he still has appeal and teams still believe he is a difference maker. I think Miami without this version of Wade but with a few more solid and consistent contributors would be better than the team that is currently playing in these playoffs with Wade.

And what makes Wade's flopping so bitch-made is that he has the nerve to be a total douche and dirty player on the other end of the floor. If you're going to be such a dirty ass player on the defensive end, then you can't be such a bitch on the offensive end.

Barring any extreme referee bias, the Heat will lose if one of two things do not happen - Lebron going off, or Wade or Bosh finally playing like an all-star. If neither those two play well and Lebron only gets 25 or so, then Pacers should win.

Wade used to be able to make 15-17 foot jumpers, but he can't right now. So a team with a legitimate big like Hibbert in the middle is going to cause him issues because he cannot drive in and get his paint points anymore. Teams can pack it in on them because they are not shooting it very good from outside, so no reason to extend the D. Allen has been a huge dissapointment as well.

Good point.

On top of the fact that Wade and Bosh haven't done much, it's hurting them that they aren't getting anything from Ray Allen or Battier either.

I think they need to go to Mike Miller sooner if Ray isn't doing anything, because what made them so deadly in last year's playoffs was how good they were from beyond the 3 point line.

Right now, they are getting almost nothing from beyond the arc and Battier as a whole has been non-existent.

Mario Chalmers looks lost too...he drives into the lane with no real plan as to what he is going to do.

Funny thing is, the next guy after Lebron who looks the most confident has been Norris Cole.

Cole had been prety invisible up to the last game. He was excellent vs Chicago, but has not had the same success against Indiana.

They can only go to Mike Miller in short spurts because he has a bad back. Therefore, it's up to Allen or Battier to get it going from the outside in order to make the Pacers pay for collapsing into the lane.

Coles is a wild card as well. Every now and then he'll get it going from the outside.

Allen is just off right now. Both 3's and FT's are usually money for him when open. I just hope he doesn't snap out of it tonight. Battier is just a bad matchup in this series. I think he played a total of 7 minutes last game. I don't think we'll see him much again tonight.

I hope George is in attack mode from the opening tip. He can't coast through the entire first half like he's done a couple of times this series.

I do think they should run Rashard Lewis out there and see if he can knock down some 15 footers. Those shots are always open for Haslem and they would be for Lewis as well.

They deactivated James Jones to activate Howard, but he is another guy who needs to get a look. Battier is way off.

In fairness though, they try to go inside to Hibbert and West at the start of games to get Bosh in foul trouble, so it is more a product of their strategy.

If Lewis is on the floor in Haslem's spot, that means either he or Bosh are guarding West. That's bad news for the Heat.

At some point you have to try and get some offense out there.

So how much turnover are we looking at for the heat if they lose tonight?

Some have floated the idea that Bosh could be moved.

I can see Miller retiring. I think he was on the cusp of retiring last season.

Allen, Lewis, Chalmers, Jones and Battier are signed for one more year. I'd axe Lewis because he's added nothing to the team.

Birdman in on a one year deal.

I'd probably look to move Chalmers and/or Battier in a trade. There's a team out there who'll be willing to take a couple of expiring contracts.

I think they need to resign Birdman just cause of the energy and defense he brings. But the only players they have that can bring any sort of difference maker to them are Wade and Bosh which I don't see either moving on. I think the only real change is they'll finally use Spoelstra as a scape goat and bring in someone else to use the trio. Once that fails is when you see major roster moves.

This offseason will be big for them because next year Lebron can opt out...that Clev team with Irving, Waiters, maybe Noel might look pretty good to him.
