I agree free speech should be defended at all cost but this was some high level trolling, was the point they were trying to make worth putting these security officers lives in danger.

And how would these people feel about an exhibit ridiculing Jesus.

Just a bad look all around.
What does that have to do with anything I said?

If a cop or security officer was killed was it worth it?
Uh, you did ask this did you not?

And how did "THESE" people feel about that, were they rallying around free speech then?

Were you?

Kind of funny that freedom of speech and religion are in the same amendment and people are faster to attack speech because the fact that a given religion produces the most violent people on the planet is an unpopular fact to point out. Islam has become the Thuggee Death Cult. I dare you to come up with an event in Garland Texas where any other religion would be guaranteed to try to murder you. Only Islam.

The guy in the article incorrectly defines the doctrine anyway, IMO.

Incitement is not just when you say something you know will get a violent response. It is when you are urging or advocating others to commit violence.
He absolutely incorrectly states it.

This is absolutely true. But I don't think that it's anything inherent to Islam. It's just the only religion that has suffered a resurgence of dark age style religious conservatism. Once that level of authoritarianism takes hold it's like a cancer.

I/Muhammad/Allah said so becomes all the right someone needs. Any voice of dissension can be straight up murdered. Skepticism dies.

There are plenty of people willing to do crazy shit behind other religions, what's unique to Islam is its' ability to make people in the first world do this kind of shit. I could start some shit with Hindus in New Delhi and definitely get my ass beat, maybe get killed. It would be pretty hard to get the ones in the US or UK pissed off enough to do more than protest if I was trolling them with insulting art or whatever.

Radical Islam has pretty unique methods when it comes to its war with the first world. I don't think any other religion has organized into a military force since the Crusades. It's one thing to be a radical idiot who thinks people need to die for what they believe. It's another to have people handing you bombs and telling you to hop to.
