Doug Free was probably texting Martin-Smith-Frederick like "Hey guys, we still on for bowling tonight?"

"Guys? Guys?"

"I just parked, let me know if I should reserve a lane"

"I'm gonna go ahead and bowl a frame and have a few hot dogs, let me know your ETAs"
Hopefully neither Free nor Leary get a case of the ass about this.

Feh. This draft could be better than that draft. And that draft wasn't the best in Dallas' history, either. That distinction goes to the Dirty Dozen.
Absolutely.

This one could nudge the 2005 draft down a peg if Jones and especially Gregory pans out.

I am not worried about Collins at all. That kid will be dare I say a Larry Allen like monster.

Someone said it earlier. The rest of the team is pretty close to being a finished product. If the right QB presents himself next draft, NOW would be the time to sell out to go up and get him. Also, it would make it easier because we should have pretty good comp picks that we could still use.
I'd be all for it, but it won't happen. First, we aren't going to try to draft a franchise caliber QB while Romo is still here. Second, with the FO mentality we won't need a quality QB to win behind this OL.

I can see it now: Its 3rd and 5 for the cowboys. Romo takes the snap. Suddenly, he remembers he left his oven on at home. He face palms and then runs to his car. Damn, it won't start he thinks to himself. He decides to take the bus instead. He finally gets back home and realizes he forgot his keys. Knowing how dire the situation is, Romo decides to climb to a second story window he remembers was unlocked. Finally, he turns the oven off. Romo decides to get some cardio in on the way back, so he decided to do a brisk jog. Romo makes it back to the stadium just in time to see one of the D-linemen piercing through. He points and winks at Jerry before tossing the ball to Dez. First down, Cowboys.
That's from a reddit thread about the Collins signing. And from an Eagles fan, no less. :lol

Is there a more stark difference in GMing style between last decade's Jerry Jones and present day Jerry Jones? Everything we're doing sounds so new and different. Home grown talent, no big contracts to players past their prime, making savvy free agent acquisitions, and picking shrewdly and conservatively in the draft.

I'm pretty sure Dr. Sam Beckett must have leaped into him.

And if Green becomes a quality swing tackle and Wilson and STer....omgomgomgomg!!!!!

Seriously though, if Jones, Gregory and Collins pan out it'll be a great draft. Anything else is icing on the cake.

~yawn~

Just like they'd never draft a first round OL. No, wait. Just like they'd never commit to running the ball with Garrett as coach. No, wait. Just like they'd never sign Hardy. No, wait. Just like La'el Collins would never sign here. No, wait. And on, and on, and on...

Now admittedly our entire Oline's contracts will come due at about the same time. We'll probably lose at least one of them, probably two. But it's going to be a sweet sweet ride up to that point.

I just wish this stupid Adrian Peterson shit would stop.

The Vikings aren't just going to give him away.

Wait a second.

We just got Collins.

That is like another first round pick.

We give 2016 for the 30 year old RB.

I understand why teams passed me. But they have to understand now, the teams that I play against, they WILL feel me. /Collins
Nice...but ironically that's exactly what Michael Sam said when he went undrafted.

And LeBron James didn't mention Andrew Wiggins in his letter.

It will come bang bang. But by that point, Romo's albatross of a contract will be winding down.

I think we will be okay.

This won't be a ten year line or anything. But it should be intact for oh, at least three Super Bowls. :unsure

No kidding. Some of these guys are so thrilled we got a 1st rounder for nothing, they're willing to just give away a first rounder.

This is so good I don't know where the line between conservative speculation and homering the f*** out is. This feels like it could be the most talented team of the salary cap era.
