I wonder when it becomes a priority for Goof Son. When the season starts and after a game or two we realize we suck with these guys?
Probably. And by then guys like Chris Johnson will be long gone.

Considering that they were looking to draft a RB but didn't get one at the spot they wanted, it's safe to say they are looking to add one. I hope they don't dick around and hem and haw and next thing they know all of remaining free agents who might have something left have been signed by other teams.

Mini Camp: Want to see what we have. We like what we have.

Training Camp week 1: We are excited by what we have.

Training Camp week 2: Not worried about Darren.

Training Camp week 3: Tough blow losing him to a hamstring. We like what we have with Randle. He can do it all.

Training Camp week 4: We are not looking at veteran options at this time. Synjyn Days has shown us some good things.

Chris Johnson has lost several steps.

Within a couple of weeks he lost the starting job that was just handed to him in 2014 on a run-first, run-heavy team with a solid OL.

I'm thinking only as an injury replacement or if Williams or McFadden look like complete crap in the camps.

Besides, youth is what this team needs. I already see McFadden experiencing a resurgence at some point only to wear down when we need him most. Johnson will be more of the same.

I hate to say this, but Randle might be our best back at this point. God help us we suck at the position.

God I hope it doesn't play out that way.

Yeah, but can't you see it happening exactly as booze drew it up?
I can. I'm not sure I totally expect it to play out that way, but that may just be wishful thinking. And that is not to say that I think guys like Johnson, Bradshaw, et. al. are all that, I just think they are worth taking a chance on considering what is currently on the roster.

I'd put guys like Johnson and Bradshaw on the roster because we don't know what we have in terms of pass blocking in Randle and Williams. We know we're going to need a committee, we need to trust all of them to not get Romo killed. We can have six backs in camp and play weakest link with them, IMO.

When did running backs become such a commodity?

not sure if people you can buy for the minimum and force to compete for a job count as a commodity. Our RBs have less job security than our fullback.

And that's fine. Run them into the dirt and move onto another. RBs are fungible.

If that's true, then there is no need to be worried about having Randle instead of Murray. I mean, for a RB to be mutually interchangeable by another identical item sounds great. We're frickin' golden. :towel
