So saying this is a 8-8 team and the team has gotten worse is not going of the deep end?
I must have missed it who said we're an 8-8 team now?

There is a difference between discussing and bitching about how bad the FO is and how the season is over now.

Everybody has acknowledged the RB position is a huge ? but you and others have went off the deep end.
Who all said the season was over?

I agree with Jiggy. The tantrums thrown during day three were embarrassingly funny.
Thanks for reminding me you're the one that abstains from game day threads and then comes on after the fact to berate everyone. Carry on.

We will not move on. This is a message board where people, you know, like discuss things and stuff. Top two need going into the draft and we didn't draft a single thing to fulfill that need. It's worth talking about.
Spare me the "this is what message boards are for" crap. 364 days a year this board is all about BPA only. Never reach to fill needs. Now we miss on a need and it's all OHH NOES!!1!

I was here during the draft, dipshit. But you should talk. You disappear when the teams doing well, but come back when there's any reason for a chance to whine like a bitch. Then you'll disappear again for awhile, only to come back again when it's time to cry about Hillary Clinton. Like clockwork.

I would agree, except it's not like we bypassed RB's to take BPA.

I'm here every week during the season. Not sure how that's considered disappearing. Speaking of which, did anyone ever find Carp?

Also, you seem to mention Obama/Hillary far more than I ever had, even bringing it to the football threads.

"BPA" doesn't exist as a pure concept. No team, not one, discounts need 100% of the time, nor are boards constructed with 300 names on it and they just go down the list and rigidly stick to it. Teams have "short boards". And depending on how the organization is structured, how broad that short board is depends on who is guiding the process.

The reason you see "BPA" associated with teams it is an illusion.

It just happens a lot of times need and "best player available" converge, especially when we are not always privy to what a team's true priority is.

The more appropriate argument is how the Dallas board was made and constructed.

In the same respect, NFL front offices are an arrogant lot. They are not going to say that yeah, we panicked. At least not at the time. But you do see things like what Garrett is saying now that they were disciplined, where in the same breath suggesting they weren't in the past. It is all PR.

Thanks for the education, Jerry. I know how the collision of BPA and need happens. But, I was responding to a silly post that claimed hypocrisy, and that can't be further from the truth in this situation. Green wasn't one of those collisions of BPA and need. It was a terrific reach that brought us a swing tackle that most likely could have been had at least a round later.

If they were like really really paranoid about swing tackle, their board could have been constructed that way, with other better players discounted.

All in all, it is not a "reach" to them when they take the last swing tackle on their short list of 50 players they are willing to draft. So theoretically they didn't reach, they didn't waver. They can lie with a good conscious.

In who's opinion was it a terrific reach?
Every single thing I have read about him had him 5th and later, so a lot of opinions saying that.

Are you seriously defending this pick?

Up is down, left is right, and booze is Jiggy.

The media infused opinion we all have.

It's a created opinion and with that as a frame of reference, good luck finding anything that suggests he might be anything more than a day three guy.

It is easy to be smug and say we don't know, but frankly, if NFL teams "knew" they'd never miss on picks.
