You forgot Williams. :tippytoe
Actually, I didn't.

I find him that irrelevant.

I mean the team thought so little of him that he didn't even get the courtesy of a roster spot.

And the guy supposed turned down countless offers to go to other teams.

Sounds like he is a dumbass. Not important.

I'm just not that upset. I think we could and should have done better. But this team is good enough to compete with the Skins, Giants, and Eagles. I'm desperately hoping our scouting is better than it appears to be, but we've done well in the recent past picking guys that seem like reaches, and having them turn out okay. I doubt all of them will, but if we end up with a decent swing tackle or a decent fill in at LBer I'll be satisfied.

Our RB committee seems woefully underwhelming. But you never know. Ahmad Bradshaw, and Arian Foster had to start as guys nobody thought would make it. I really want to believe that McFadden is gonna find his groove behind this Oline too.

So...is it time to rehash the debate of Jason Garrett hating the running game?

Not until we abandon the run and go back to passing 40 times a game. I wouldn't be surprised if that happened, though.

I just watched clips of Jay Ajayi on youtube. He looks like a mini-beast mode. Can't imagine what the front office was thinking picking a couple jabronis over him.

McFadden is a below average NFL RB that has trouble staying on the field. He isn't finding shit. I'm sure he'll be better behind Dallas' OL than he was Oakland's, but there are a whole lot of other RBs that would do better than him behind the same line. He is terrible.

Apparently they didn't flag him for his knee either, they actually just had Green and Wilson ranked higher. That along with counting on the scrubs we have makes me seriously doubt their rb scouting.

Right now I'm very concerned with the situation at RB and DT, not necessarily DT but guys who can bring a pass-rush from the interior in nickel and dime aside from Crawford. Perhaps the plan is to kick Hardy inside in nickel/dime because he can definitely do that, and this Russell guy may be able to do that, perhaps Gardener or something, but I hate how this organization ignores the DT position. RB speaks for itself, I have no clue what the fuck they're thinking.

Other than that, I feel pretty good. Jones has been discussed ad nauseum, if we unlock Gregory's potential (and keep Hardy on the field) I could argue that we could have the best DE group in the league, Green will be a solid swing tackle and I give the front office the benefit of the doubt with this LB in the 4th considering how Hitchens turned out.

Other than DT and RB I don't feel too bad about the rest of the roster but you can't be happy with these reaches. Overall, I'd give the draft a C probably.

If it was up to me I would've done this:

27. Malcom Brown
60. Randy Gregory
91. Jay Ajayi
127. Michael Bennett
163. Damian Swann
236. Tre McBride
243. Laurence Gibson

That's probably true. But I'm holding out hope (perhaps foolishly) that he will be much more motivated to play well in Dallas. Oakland seems like a toxic team that can waste a lot of talent. Our starting MLB is a great example.
It may be naive, but I'd like to think the talent scouting that brought McClain to Dallas, saw something in McFadden worth trying out. Legitimately if we can get 700-800 yards out of him, another 500 from Randle, and 250 from Williams, we should be okay. I feel like commitment to the rushing game is more important than having a top notch back. If linehan's willing to accept 4.1 YPC and share 400 carries between the not ready for primetime players, we'll win a lot of games.

I would have infinitely preferred that draft.

I feel special. Fisher has now been a smartass with me too.

I don't have a problem with Jones, but the draft went completely to shit after Gregory.

It's like they cracked open a crate of Walker Blue after getting a top 10 talent at 60 and said, fuck it.

Can't believe you guys aren't learning from history. Hitchens saved the season last year and nobody liked him!
:lol
We could draft busts in the 3rd/4th round every year for next 10 seasons and every time people will say....but Hitchens. We hit on one guy in the last decade who looked like a reach and now suddenly every reach is ...remember Hitchens?

I see we're back to reaching for players a couple rounds early and drafting for special teams in the mid rounds. Only thing I see that's changed is we're not going for the small school guys. Small consolation.

We signed Antwan Goodley as a UDFA, I really like him and would've preferred him over some of our actual picks.

I could forgive all of this if they traded picks for next year for Michael Brockers and Adrian Peterson. It's not like they will get any big names with them anyway, it will be someone we never heard of Im sure.
