It's being reported now that the Browns offered up the #19 overall pick for Bradford.

Reports: Browns offered 19th overall pick for Sam Bradford

Posted by Josh Alper on March 17, 2015, 3:13 PM EDT

After the Eagles traded for quarterback Sam Bradford, Eagles coach Chip Kelly said that he’d already been offered a first-round pick in a trade for Bradford.

Mike Florio wondered about which team might have been willing to make such an offer and came up with the Browns as a best guess. It may have been the right one.

Charley Casserly of NFL Media reported that it was the Browns, who own two first-round picks this year and an uncertain quarterback situation even after signing Josh McCown following his release by the Buccaneers, who made the offer. Adam Caplan of ESPN reported the same on Tuesday and added it was the 19th pick that they received in a trade with Buffalo during the first round last year that they were willing to deal.

It’s not clear whether they made the offer to the Rams, Eagles or both teams, but Bradford’s in Philadelphia and Kelly said last week that he didn’t bring Bradford to Philly to be a chip for another trade. The notion that could change has persisted because Marcus Mariota is available in the draft and reports of interest from Cleveland probably won’t do much to change that.

Obviously the Eagles wouldn't do anything on draft day until they actually know they can move up and get Mariota.

The Browns are so retarded.
So, they waste a 1st round pick on a guy who can't play (Weeden), only to dump him after 2 seasons and use another 1st round pick on a guy who can't play (Manziel), only to look to dump him after an invisible rookie season and use another 1st round pick on a guy who can kind of play but never stays healthy (Bradford). If people ever wonder why the Browns are almost always floundering at the bottom, look no further than the way they find QBs.

That's the thing with Bradford. He is always hurt, but even when healthy he wasn't lighting the world on fire. He had QB ratings of 76, 70, and 82.6 in his first 3 years of the league. He is consistently right at or below a 60% completion percentage which isn't good.

He isn't a terrible talent but it isn't like when healthy he is a stud QB either.

I'm not buying this. Why wouldn't they offer this to the Rams and why wouldn't they take it? Because they value Nick Foles so much more? BS

I think Fisher actually said something similar. That he had an offer of a first round pick but the reason why he took the Eagles offer was because he valued getting a starting QB in return that much. Instead he got a second round pick and Foles.

I watched him his entire college career and he was deadly accurate with a strong arm. He also had good protection in college. Something he never had with the Rams.

The Rams sure tried hard to put a good O-line out there but unlike the Cowboys, they have failed at it miserably. I also think Bradford is really slow at making decisions which exacerbated the problem.

I think one could argue though that Austin Davis had a better year last year then Bradford has had most seasons. Davis had an 85 QB rating, 63.4 completion percentage and averages 7.05 yards per attempt. Sam Bradford has never had that high of a completion percentage or averaged that many yards per pass. He has only had 1 season with a QB rating higher.

Bradford left school too soon. He had the tools but wasnt developed enough to make the transition to the NFL. With some tutoring he could make a fine QB. A lot of players leave too soon but it is tougher for a QB to be thrown to the wolves. Manziel had a similiar experience.

Report: If Eagles can trade Barkley, they’ll likely sign Tebow

Posted by Michael David Smith on March 17, 2015, 7:12 PM EDT

Tim Tebow to the Eagles isn’t dead yet.

Although the Eagles didn’t sign Tebow after working him out this week, they still might, according to Dianna Marie Russini of NBC 4 in Washington. According to Russini, the decision will hinge on whether the Eagles can find a taker for Matt Barkley in a trade. If they can, they would likely sign Tebow to become the third quarterback on their depth chart, behind Sam Bradford and Mark Sanchez.

It’s an interesting question whether the Eagles could find a taker for Barkley. On the one hand, Barkley hasn’t played particularly well in limited action, with zero touchdown passes, four interceptions and a passer rating of 43.8. On the other hand, Barkley was once considered such a good prospect that when he decided to stay at USC for his senior season in 2012, people thought he might have been the first overall pick in the draft. All it takes is one NFL team to be enamored with his talent for the Eagles to get an offer.

And then Chip Kelly could sign Tebow. Although no one thinks Tebow would have any chance of beating out Bradford or Sanchez for the starting job, it’s not unthinkable that Tebow could make the Eagles’ roster as a third-string quarterback. Most people around the NFL believe that Tebow’s career is over, but Kelly doesn’t think the way most people around the NFL think. He may be ready to give Tebow another chance.

I think he is better then he looked like with the Eagles. Chip Kelly really puts a ton of pressure on his corners the way he runs his offense and the scheme they run on defense. I wouldn't be surprised if he is a nice player for the Patriots. I also think you could put Richard Sherman on the Eagles defense and he would look average.
