I don't know how you can say he looked average at any time. His rushing average has always been above 4 yards a carry and most of the time above 5. Yes he was injured for portions of his career in Dallas but with his rushing, blocking and receiving, i think he would be considered above average.

I agree, he never looked average. He looked like a guy who should have been given a lot more carries but our pass happy coach refused.

Yep. I think it takes a lot from a RB to impress our coaches.

Somehow on some level I don't think they believe in the running game if they don't think the back can break big runs on a regular basis.
