Tyler Patmon will always be 20 to me...although I thought we retired it after Sherman Williams left.

Hey, McFadden played 16 games last season for the first time in his career, averaged 6 ypc in 2 of his last 3 games, and is currently still 27. :unsure

McFadden and a rookie...with Randle. As long as the rookie is not Coleman. I cannot root for someone named Tevin.

That contract isn't that different than what we gave Williams. That says a lot.

Throw a couple of bucks at a retread and swing for the fences in the draft. That is what we are doing.
Many have said that this draft is heavly stocked with quality RBs so it shouldn't be a problem. Right?

It's a great situation for McFadden though. He will get a chance to compete for a starting role behind the best offensive line in football. If he puts up a couple of good seasons he could be in line for a good payday at the age of 29. Personally I would have rather given that opportunity to Ridley.

The money is actually not the issue.

The risk is the complete waste of time and resources.

Dallas needs a proven veteran back AND a 1st or 2nd day RB in this strong RB draft. This turd makes Dallas think they've already addressed their veteran RB need when he's 95% going to be cut before the season.

Suppose Gurley somehow falls to Dallas in the 1st. It's the right long term value pick and probably makes a huge impact for years to come, but he won't contribute at all in September. A veteran back plus Randle and Williams address that risk.

Spiller or even Mathews would have been perfect.
Spiller is the new Mcfadden when it comes to injuries, how is he the answer.:lol

Spiller has played in 70 of 80 games, missed 7 due to a broke collarbone, so he is not the new McFadden.

Interesting, he has the ability injuries are the issue.

This will be a very interesting preseason RB battle.
