Ugh, this is pointless unless this is basically a flier/training camp looksee for the league minimum. I would've rather gone with someone like Ridley.

This is not the end game...we've all wanted a veteran back to be added and now we have one. No problem with the deal.

Peterson was never going to happen at the money he wants. If we let the league rushing leader walk at 27 yrs old we weren't going to trade for 30 yr old AP.
I agree with this. Peterson was a pipe dream. First, we had to hope the Vikings just release him. Second, we'd still have to back up a Brinks truck for him. If we were going to spend crazy money on a RB, I would have preferred to just resign Murray, who we knew would be successful behind this line, already knew the system and had chemistry.

Definitely not the veteran RB I was hoping for. They better be right with whoever they draft because McFadden is way too unreliable from a health standpoint.

Completely agree.
It all depends on the structure of the contract. If it's for cheap, yeah I agree, as well. If it's 3-4 mill per, I do not.

When we drafted Murray I said his running style/body reminded me of McFadden in alot of ways, so who knows?

Yea, but it would've been nice to get a vet who had better than a 50/50 chance at best of seeing the field due to injury history.

We could've done much better than this.

Who didn't see this coming. Jones has coveted the kids for years. I assume this a cheap deal to either pair with AP or a rookie. Once the other move is made, buh-bye Randle.

Fucking moron.

How is that guy employed by the league's official network as their primary insider?

He's not his replacement, dumbass. He's depth.

Spiller comes to mind.
Spiller and Bush would both bring the same element to the offense and while they both have injury history too, they at least play and contribute.

We'll be lucky if this guy can play past week 6.

Do we lose a compensatory pick now?
No, if anything it will make the comp pick higher. We replaced Murray leaving with a (hopefully) cheap contract.
