I want Gordon/Gurley with Spiller or Bush as a change of pace backup.

Make it so.

I'd be looking at Stevan Ridley pretty hard. No way he is getting much money from anyone but could be a nice piece to a backfield, IMO. Just turned 26 and has not been overworked. Coming off a knee injury but a cheap one year deal could really pay off. Doesn't have to be a workhorse.

Oh, and while I certainly like seeing us be active and making phone calls, I'd prefer if some of those phone calls went to some defensive players that can come in and help us.

Namely, Greg Hardy.

He makes Murray's fumbling from last year look like in child's play in comparison to his.

I wouldn't hate the move, but I wouldn't be crazy about it either.

Mike, STFU.

I love him, but he's so damn reactionary to everything. They lost Maclin, Cole, added some overpriced POS DBs and a less dynamic RB than the one they had. They aren't even a better team than they were, much less better than Dallas.

Get a fucking grip, Mike.

No QB, No Maclin, no Jackson, and no McCoy - a RB who gives us more problems than the physical type like Murray, and yet they are absolutely better than us?

In the famous words of Ozzie Guillen......PLEASSSE.

It has been an issue for him but it has been more emphasized because Belichick is so intolerant of anyone who fumbles. Anyone capable of being a feature RB who would come as cheap as Ridley will is going to have some warts. Not saying Ridley is the answer, but he is certainly someone I would call. He is expected to be physically ready sometime in May.

This is the lone problem with him being too close to the franchise. He's friends first, analyst second.

Good god.

I'd say most everyone with half a brain is pleasantly surprised by the Jerry restraint and the new outlook on spending money, and Michael Irvin is actually encouraging the old bastard to revert to his foolish ways that got us in trouble in the first place.

WTF is wrong with him? Back on the coke?

What is all this drama from media about us possibly losing Murray? We've known this was highly likely for a long, long, long time. Don't overpay aging RB's when you can find a comparable (probably not rushing title), cheaper replacement. Most RB's don't age well. We all know it, but the media doesn't. Ugh.

It's good not to just throw money away, but I'm not sure that means it's always a good thing to not bring key people back.

I'm not convinced we're the Patriots just yet. We had one good year where a lot of things went right.

Why spend on a guy with warts even if he is cheap? Spend the money saved on the defense and draft a RB. The draft is deep with RB talent and this OL was built so that they didn't have to pay for a RB. Use draft resources rather than $'s to fill the RB need.
