For Jerry to give up control though...that is huge IMO.
Absolutely, and it's what we have been wanting for years. It gives me hope and is why I am trending back to my homer ways. That is, if you and NoDak will have me back.

It's not so much that he's totally gave up control but that he now relies on Stephen/Garrett instead of guys like Lacewell/Switzer/random consultant/etc. But I do think there has been a bit of a transition the last couple of years to Stephen having more power. Either that or Jerry woke up a couple of years ago and did a complete 180 in how he has operated.

I wonder if this is what this charade is all about. Murray wants that extra little bit, so flying to Philly might scare Jerry into giving in.

That's what it sounds like to me, hope they stick their guns though and don't raise offer at all

That's the way I see it as well. If he doesn't wanna play ball with us, he can take his injury prone fumbling butt elsewhere.

If that's true and we're offering 6 mill, then Murray can go fuck himself.

6 mill is more than fair and it was the max yearly salary that most of us wanted to give him.

Props to the team for standing firm.
I'm glad we are standing firm. If I were the Cowboys I'd just move on and sign other people. I hope the Cowboys aren't sitting on their hands waiting for Murray to make a decision (Unfortunately I think we are).

We would get a killer comp pick for Murray probably. I'd be all for that.

DeMarco is talking to a hot babe at a party, but every once in awhile he looks back to his old girl to see if she is paying attention to him.

I completely agree with this. I feel Dez could easily maintain the level he's playing at, or possibly even get better. I don't feel the same about Murray. I think we've seen his best, and he'll only go down from here. I don't want to pay for that.

I don't think 6 mil per year is more than fair. I think in the neighborhood of what Lynch and McCoy got is more than fair.

I think it's more than a little ridiculous seeing fans say we are "insulting" Dez with our offer, then seeing fans act incredulous that Murray won't just sign a contract that offers like 40 percent less than what other top backs are getting.
