He might be a bigger man overall, but I like Gordon's build better and his running style.

I also like that he came from a running school.

Gurly would be an excellent pick and I'd love to have him, I just personally prefer Gordon.
Wisconsin has not had great luck producing pros though.

You're right about that, but I like his chances.

Penn State backs didn't have the best rep either until Larry Johnson broke that bad run. I'd like to think Gordon could do the same.

there is absolutely no way the eagles sign murray. id give it a 10% chance he goes to the eagles. If the Eagles sign him, as mentioned by UncleMilti above, he would be ridiculed for adding so much money to the RB position when they got rid of mccoy for cap reasons

After Gordon and Gurley I'd go with Ajayi and Coleman. Backs like Abdullah and Duke Johnson are a little undersized and I don't think would fit our system as well, especially with block and blitz pickup. I think we're looking for more of a power back and with blocking ability.

The one knock I hear about Gordon is some fumble issues. Gurley's is the concern about his knee, but that could be dispelled by his pro day and prodding. Ajayi and Coleman are late 2nd to 3rd rounders but we likely can't gamble they'd be there at the end of round 3.

Gordon is in a different league with regards to talent then guys like Monte Ball and James White.

I hate to be over dramatic about this, but am I the only one who thinks going to Philly for a visit would be like a point of no return?

This is a hated rival and a team we were having on the field scuffles with just 2 months ago. I know it's a business, but isn't there something wrong about him dining out with the Eagles brass, then hanging out with some of their players and having a good laugh over a few beers.....then coming back to Dallas and acting all normal with his teammates here who hate the guys in that locker room?

And it's not even about the whole "OMG he went to the rivals!!11"

I'm talking more on the personal level with the Cowboys organization and locker room.

Am I alone in thinking that maybe this is something he can't come back from?

Just seems like there would be a small sense of betrayal in there.

The only betrayal I can see is him calling Kelly. Outside of that (minus the childish removal of the Cowboys stuff on his twitter) he has been above board.

But, yeah, he has been acting like a bitch.

I just can't imagine the Eagles flying Murray to Philly as a ruse. I know it sounds impossible to think Kelly would sign two backs for more money than he had McCoy for, but he has done some pretty unpredictable shit so far this offseason.

See, and it started there with him reaching out to the Eagles himself.

Just the way this whole fiasco has gone down just stinks.

I don't like the way Murray has handled himself at all in this situation. If he goes to Philly to have serious discussions, then just stay there. I don't think he can come back from that.

Work out something for AP or get a top back in the draft, then knock his dick in the dirt come football season.

Maybe Kelly knows bringing him in will piss his team mates here off and when Kelly tells him to go away he knows he's done here as a player cuz some may not take him back. It's a ruse...

I doubt it.

That's wasting a lot if time just to make the Cowboys spend more money or cause a rift in the locker room.

I think they are serious.

But if they're not? It makes Murray look even worse.

Yes. Eric Dickerson had 390 in 1983 and came back in 1986 and had 404. Murrays is listed officially at 392.
After 1986 Dickerson was traded from the Rams to the Colts. In 1987, Dickerson's former backup, Charles White, led the league in rushing. In 1988 and 1989 Greg Bell (Rams) led the league in rushing TDs with 16 and 15 respectively and had over 1100 yards rushing in each season. Even with a hall of fame RB, the Rams were able to plug in another running back and get good production. Maybe the OL was important?

Yeah. Oakland. Hah.

I'd like to see murray adjust from the plushness of the Deathstar to a 1960s, rank, toilet water hotter than shower water Oakland stadium. Our practice facility in Frisco will be nicer.

If he signs with Philly, fuck him.

The only way it's acceptable is if he gets 7 mill or more a year while we're offering 4 mill.

If it's a 1 mill a year difference avd he signs with them, the fuck him. I hope he goes back to being an injury prone, fumbling bitch.
Yeah, we can all afford to piss away a million. More however, would be excessive. :art

I see it as a smokescreen on Kelley's part to cloud his own strategy about the upcoming draft. He already has people scratching their heads so this is possibly another layer for him to veil.
