There's a lot of presidents with genocide on their rap sheet. Although Obama's expansion of the drone strike program may nearly qualify. I think Bush deserved it more than Obama, since it was his incompetent administration that put us in a decade long war for no reason.
As far as I'm concerned, Obama and Bush are 1a and 1b. Obama's incompetent administration continued rather than halted most if not all of Little Shrub's policies while campaigning on a platform largely based on "change". Obama knew everything that anti-Bush American citizens hated about Bush but instead of changing things, he just grabbed the baton from W and kept on truckin'.

Sorry it took so long to replay.

IT happens when leaders are beholding to big business and conglomerations more than people and country. Top that off with agendas driven by personal feelings again vs the good of a nation and you get what we've had.

Yep, but it's been like that for decades. The only difference is whether the agenda is driven by a "(D)" or an "(R)".

We get Some of the things Bush did and agreed with that most of us didn't. We get the Clintons in all their raging glory, and we got Obama. I won't go into all the negatives I think there are for Obama, because you already have heard them and I'm not trolling today.

I agree it has. SO what do we do to change it now that those in Washington don't really give a damn what we think?

That's the perfect and most appropriate question to ask. Unfortunately, I'm not sure that any of us have any viable answers. This forum is filled with people who have some wonderful ideas, but implementing them would be nearly impossible.

Elected officials automatically become convinced they are superior to everyone's thinking process once they are sworn in. That is the curse of democracy and congressional representation of the people.

Congress should have to live under the laws they pass. That would change a lot right off the bat.
