Didn't Curtiss Lofton have a career year?
He was cut because of a failed physical. Something about a shoulder scope or something.

Mike Iupati plans to sign with the Cardinals

Posted by Michael David Smith on March 9, 2015, 6:45 PM EDT

With the Jets, Raiders and Bills all pursuing free agent guard Mike Iupati, which one will he sign with?

None of the above.

Instead, Iupati is telling people he is going to sign with the Cardinals, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

That comes as a surprise, but maybe it shouldn’t. Guard is a need for the Cardinals, who have been mighty disappointed with 2013 first-round draft pick Jonathan Cooper. And Iupati is a very good guard, as the Cardinals have seen twice a year.

A 2010 first-round pick of the 49ers, Iupati started all but five games in his five years in San Francisco.
-------------

Whoa. Didn't expect this.

I guess the Cardinals are going to finish off the sad sack of shit Niners by taking their best free agent player.

Hartline heads home to the Browns

Posted by Mike Florio on March 9, 2015, 8:09 PM EDT

A Cleveland native who played quarterback for the Browns the last two years is leaving town. Another local product who catches passes is coming home.

Receiver Brian Hartline, a native of Canton, Ohio, has agreed to terms with the Browns, according to his agent, Drew Rosenhaus. It’s a two-year, $6 million deal.

Hartline was due to earn a base salary of $5.9 million with the Dolphins in 2015. He was cut late last month, and he had visited the Browns, Bears, and Texans. The Patriots also were believed to be interested.

Hartline instantly upgrades a receiver position that needs plenty of help.

Free agency is so weird this year with the "negotiating period." Since no one is actually allowed to sign a contract yet technically all these players we hear signing somewhere else are still free agents and available to competitors.
