The big rumor on tha Arkansas boards is the North Little Rock head coach is getting fired because he was offering the deliver KJ Hill to any program that would give him a job and Bielema reported him. He also may have been paying rent for several people so that players could move in district with the implication being that he was taking money from college boosters in exchange for influencing where his players commit. The school superintendent is refusing to comment on his employment status so there is some kind of investigation taking place. If true it would explain the odd number of highly ranked NLR kids who choose to go out of state vs. other similar schools in Arkansas. Probably BS, but I gotta respect Bielema for having the integrity to say no thanks if true.

cough, Houston Nutt, cough, Gus Malzahn, cough Mitch Mustain, cough

Sorry, had something caught in my throat.
I read about this the other day. So pathetic when HS coaches openly try to pimp their kids out in the hopes of getting something themselves.

On a positive note it looks like Tech has flipped Jamile Johnson from Texas. He decommitted from Texas and visited Tech. He will chose TTU on signing day.

Also, 4 star WR JF Thomas and TCU commit visited the same day and will most likely flip on signing day as well. That takes the sting out of some of the recent loses.

The whorns are going to get good players. If we can steal a few and somehow keep these other tards from taking over the big 12 any further I will be able to come off of the Xanax and Valium.

Seems they're losing out on Mack too, just saw on twitter he has eliminated whorn and is down to us or purple Baylor

They have made up a lot of ground from where they were originally. I think they will close strong but they clearly aren't where they used to be. aTm has taken their place for now in the state of Texas. I expect them to eventually recover from the slump. Still, they are getting some quality players. Just not like they are accustomed to.

Tech successfully flipped Jamile Johnson from Texas today. He has faxed his paperwork in. The kid is a a really good DB at a legit 6' 205lbs. They plan to use him at CB.

It appears the 4 star WR JF Thomas is flipping from TCU as well. His paperwork isn't in yet. He has a little more work to do to qualify, so I'm not too excited yet.

I'm hoping and praying for Joseph Wicker (probably not) and Semisi Uluave here. Uluave is still wavering on doing a 2 year Mormon mission before college, so who knows. Hopefully he doesn't.

NSD is always fun...right up until one of your favorite commits flips. UCF looks real good so far. Kept everyone so far, won a little battle with Arkansas (helps that they flipped another kid just last night) and only waiting to see if we hold on to a DB that S. Carolina was supposedly coming after and seeing if we can flip a WR from WVU.

Tennessee Vols...#4 signing class.

Top Recruits:

Kahlil McKenzie DT 5-star
Drew Richmond OL 5-star
Alvin Kamara RB 5-star
Kyle Phillips DE 5-star
Preston Williams WR 4-star

*McKenzie is top 5 player in nation and #2 DT / Son of Raiders Reggie McKenzie.
** Drew Richmond was committed to Ole Miss for several months until 2 days ago.

Tech usually has some fun prizes. Unfortunately the surprises have been the opposite of what you wanta see this year. Thanfully there was some good news late.

The really bad news - we are awful on defense and only signed 8 defensive recruits.

I'm actually excited to see you guys bounce back. I expect incremental progress in the win column.

All commits are in. At least we have that. Now we wait for Wicker, Uluave, and Ulu-Perry.

Scott looks good, but I think once Sykes flipped to Arkansas we were set at Safety

I hope so. It reminds me of the late 80's/early 90's when Tennessee started building and became a national power. Butch Jones has shown he can recruit, it'll now be interesting to see what he can do with them all.

Ya, I think that was the tipping point. Scott was supposedly a silent commit to us after his visit, but Arkansas made an impression. Thank God for Nebraska ineptitude.

Muschamp demolished the Gators today. I lost track of how many of their kids he poached today. There's a funny gif on twitter on the Auburn war room going crazy after the final flip and him just sitting at the table stone faced like he wanted to cause them even more pain.

Man, what looked to be a disappointing recruiting class just a few weeks ago turned out being a very good one, especially considering where we were a month ago.

Stealing two PAC-12 commits and getting a 4-star RB is a pretty awesome week, and I absolutely cannot complain about coming away with what many believe is a top 10 recruiting class.

I'll take it.

Getting the QB is probably the biggest part.
