WICHITA, Kan. — Dallas Cowboys running back and Wichita native Joseph Randle was arrested in Wichita early this morning, police said. Randle was arrested after police responded to a domestic violence call in the 700 block of South Main at about 3:00 a.m.

Police said a 22-year-old woman reported she and Randle were arguing in a hotel room. Officers found marijuana in the room, and arrested Randle on a drug charge.

The couple has a child together. The woman told police she was at the hotel so Randle could see his child. He was given a court date on a misdemeanor drug charge.

Randle was arrested in October, 2014 for shoplifting underwear and cologne from a Dallas area mall.

Randle attended Southeast High School.

Price of Murray just went up. Even if we re-sign DM I think this cements we take a RB in the 3rd/4th round. Otherwise we likely take one in the 1st/2nd round. Either way, Randle is history.

Yep...said that in the other thread. Any leverage we have is gone. Can't fix stupid...I mean he got by on the other arrest, but they need to set a tone here and cut him.

Oh...hi Josh Brent.

I'd still go into negotiations the same, but I never saw Randle as a legitimate option to start

This is a blessing in disguise. Any plan that includes this guy starting would be doomed from the start, he's no more than a number 2 RB at best, and one that I'd probably want to upgrade on at that. This ends any possibility that we go into next year counting on this guy for much of anything.

Gotta think so, yeah. And Ryan Williams should get a legit shot too. They signed him to that 2 year reserve/futures contract last month. He's under a cheap contract and flashed some pretty nice skills in the preseason last year. Almost have to make him a part of the plans going forward assuming Randle gets the axe.

We did have Ryan Williams as a 2nd rounder before eventually settling on Murray in the 3rd. Maybe Stephen can bring that up to DM's agent.

I have no doubt that Williams can at least be as productive as Randle as a RB, my only question is what he can do on special teams. Hopefully after a year on the practice squad he can handle that.

I think the Gordon to Dallas rumors will get loud now.

He was not an answer to anything, but he definitely was quality depth. If Murray leaves we'll have to add at least 2 RBs. If Lynch was supposedly offered 10 mil guaranteed, you can only wonder what Murray thinks he'll get.

Damn...yeah, he has got to go. Lucky to get off on the other charge, this one will stick and sting...and should.

I think Williams has a chance to give us what Randle did. I just don't know if he can be a starter if needed just like I wasn't sure Randle could either.

10 mill guaranteed isn't bad at all, and I'd be ok with that for Murray. It's the yearly cap figure that I'm most worried about.

I just don't want it to be a 10 mil cap hit...that is why I don't want to use the tag on Murray. Williams did show some wiggle, but with the possible loss of Harris the 2nd and 3rd RB have to be ST guys. Hopefully he can do something there.

Have you read any to begin with?

He could arguably be the BPA at 27 either way.
I've seen him mocked to us a few times.

I definitely think he could be BPA, but I would still pass on him for a DE/DT rated a few slots lower.
