Report: Vick calls critics 'ignorant'

Michael Vick has had enough of his critics.

The embattled Eagles quarterback, who has come under fire for his penchant for turnovers and holding on to the ball too long in the pocket, fired back at his naysayers.

“I’m really tempted right now to just say no comment to that because like I said a second ago, you don’t last 12 years in the NFL not being able to read the defense,” Vick said on WPEN-FM (97.5). “Those people who are talking and saying that are just ignorant, and they know nothing about football. Unless they turn on the film and watch my game and see what goes on, then they’ll replace those comments with the right comments.”

Vick has seen his turnovers balloon and his quarterback rating plummet since his remarkable 2010 campaign. Vick turned the ball over 21 times last season and 24 times in 2011. Even more alarming is the staggering amount of times Vick has been sacked (51) the past two seasons. Here's one of the 51.

Vick, who QB rating fell to 78.1 last season, said new Eagles coach Chip Kelly is helping him with the fumbling issues.

“Chip told me how to run with the football the other day,” Vick told the radio station. “He taught me how to run with the football and how to carry the football, and I think it’s something that you just have to work on.

“The other day, I broke out in the pocket, and the first thing Chip told me was to tuck the football,” Vick said. “So I showed him how I was running with it, and he looked at it and he knocked the ball right out of my hands. And he was like, ‘Hold it like this.’ And what he told me felt comfortable. I had a tighter grip on the football. That should secure that problem as long as I work on it. Like I said, you’re always a work in progress, and even when you think you know it all, sometimes you don’t. The people who feel like they know everything, they don’t.”

He's in the league 12 years and he just learned about securing the ball. Who's ignorant again?

Roy Williams excuse, brilliant.
There is a lot "laymen" don't know. We don't know the coverages. We don't know the line calls. We don't know the play design.

But when a guy fumbles, there really is not any of that to it. That's been Vick's issue even if you forgive the INTs.

Either he has been poorly coached or just flat out stupid, I find it hard to believe guys like Dan Reeves and Andy Reid just ignored his fumbling issue and lo and behold, here is Angry Pig coming along and figures it all out. Maybe he talked down to this retard's level or something.
