I was just messing with 1 Big I know it really means nothing at this point in the season.
Just give me a couple more wins against them and I will help you.

Report: As Heat and Rockets show interest in Brook Lopez, Nets back away from trade talks with Thunder

The Nets reportedly want to trade Brook Lopez.

They explored a three-way deal with the Thunder and Hornets. Didn’t happen.

They explored a deal with just the Thunder. Not happening, either.

Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports:

After progressing in serious talks on a deal to send center Brook Lopez to the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Brooklyn Nets backed away from discussions Friday afternoon, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

“Standing pat at this time,” one Nets source told Yahoo Sports. “There was nothing we liked.”

The Nets backed away from the idea of simply moving Lopez on a salary dump, without the ability to bring back value on his talent, league sources said.

Nevertheless, discussions could begin again with a simple alteration of an offer, and the Nets’ desire to move Lopez soon remains unchanged.

The Houston Rockets were also probing the Nets on Lopez too, league sources said. The Miami Heat have also remained connected to discussions on Lopez, sources said.

It seems the Nets are just trying to drum up interest in Lopez, engaging in trade talks then pulling out. Maybe they can get a team sold on the idea of adding Lopez, and it ups its offer.

The Rockets are always probing trades, so it’s far from guaranteed they’ll make a suitable offer. The Heat’s interest has been known, but nothing has come of it. The Thunder aren’t going anywhere in these discussions.

But the longer this drags, the more untenable it becomes for the Nets. They just very publicly took Lopez through the trade market, and now they’re asking him to keep playing hard for them. Yet, they still want to deal him – while getting value in return.

The offers might change, just not in the direction Brooklyn thinks.

Embiid got sent home for not taking his conditioning seriously...300 lbs now...not good for a back rehab.

Damn...catching some of this Clev/Chi game...no way does Clev go anywhere with this "offense" they are running. A series of isos, one guy gets the ball at the start of the possession and he ends up shooting. I thought Blatt was a motion guy, so they are blocking him out or are just not being taught.

That sounds eerily similar to Scott Brooks' OKC offense.

Another instance of spygate.....???

Mavs with the easy win at Minnesota after what I thought was their biggest win of the season at Memphis. 4th seed in the West right now. :towel

Speaking of Texas teams, I was hoping to see the Rockets put up a better fight this time vs Golden State, but they're getting their asses kicked for the 2nd time in just 5 days.
Jiggyfly - The Rockets may still be a year away from being an elite team if this is any indication.

OKC looks like they may finally be turning the corner. Walked out of DC with a good win over the Wizards.

They have a huge test tomorrow night as they travel to Atlanta to take on the red hot Hawks.

I scared.

Lakers are shutting Kobe down for the year due to a torn rotator cuff. Looks like they are in on Choke For Okafor as well.

Kobe needs to retire, but he won't because he had 24 million coming to him next year.

The problem is that the stats show that they are actually a better team without Kobe.

James Harden hit a buzzer beater tonight vs Phoenix, and man did he make #17 Tucker look absolutely silly on that patented step-back of his:

I think Harden has the nastiest crossover/step-back/euro step in basketball today. The guy just makes defenders look foolish on a nightly basis.

I don't think there's any question he's the best SG in the game, but I think he deserves serious consideration for the best scorer in basketball.

He's that good.

This Houston team is frustrating as hell to watch and follow.

They can look great one minute and then for stretches do the most stupid shit, I keep waiting to see a sustained run when the team starts finding an identity but its just not there.

We really need a veteran pg with playmaking skills when Harden goes off the rails this team looks lost, when Josh Smith is your 2nd best playmaker there are some serious issues.:lol

I see a 2nd round playoff team so far, depending on matchups this team can win the west or lose in the 1st round.:picard
