ARLINGTON, Texas – The Oakland Raiders have an interest in interviewing Dallas Cowboys passing game coordinator Scott Linehan, but he is in no rush to speak with any team.

After Sunday's 24-20 wild-card round win against the Detroit Lions, Linehan said he has not heard anything about the Raiders' interest.

"I told Mr. Jones if there's any types of that type of stuff, I'm obviously humbled, but ... I'm doing nothing until our season is over," Linehan said. "I just love being with the Dallas Cowboys. Any of that stuff isn't going to be something we're talking about or even discussing until the season is over."

Last thing we need is to lose the OC after 1 season.

Leave it to the Raiders to make a dumb coaching hire and screw us in the process.

Good to see the coaches are all in on this playoff run.

Seems kind of silly to interview for another job when you're fighting in the post season.

Other OCs can do what Linehan has done this season. Hell, I don't think yesterday was a particularly impressive note for Linehan's resume.

The issue though would be whether we could find a replacement that Garrett trusts.

That is the issue. Linehan isn't the end all be all, but I don't trust Jerry/Jason to find another quality OC if Linehan leaves.

Linehan's adjustments in the second half helped put the Lions' blitzes down. Romo's execution was critical of course, but Linehan deserves credit.

That article was encouraging and leads me to believe Linehan might stay on as OC for at least one more year.

Now Marinelli OTOH... /praying

There is no way he is getting a job...I'd be shocked if he did.

Maybe it's me, but I just don't think Linehan has done enough to get another HC job. Yes, he did a good job in both Det and Dallas, but I don't think it is enough. Payton was removed as OC with the NYG, but then he got the Parcells stink on him and made him a very desirable candidate. Linehan just has yet to be rehabilitated under a great coach like Payton was.

Yup, that is my major concern too.

Had no idea Linehan would be in demand, but I guess when there are this many openings and people see what a great improvement you've made in a stagnant offense, this is what happens. Good on him for waiting. Wish Garrett and Co had the same attitude in 2007.

I doubt Linehan gets the job, but it being the Raiders, who knows.
