I buried Carter for a long time, but he has been excellent the past 5-6 games. Seems to always be in the right spot and has really improved his tackling. Wilber deserves props as well...kind of the forgotten guy, but when called on he does everything right. The thing that impresses me about him is he does not get dragged or give up an extra yard when hit, takes runners down immediately. He could be a big help with Lacy too.
I'm not sure who gets the credit, but for a squad that has lost two starters and dealt with McClain's absences, it has performed quite well. The college scouts get credit for Hitchins, I guess Jerry gets it for McClain, and Eberflus and the players get it for being able to shuffle into different positions and perform.

there's no comparing the two and the attempt reaks of Bipo style "Dez is not eleet!" desperation.

Ware sealed the game against an undefeated New Orleans in 09. Which was a crucial game, and the last close game of our last playoff run. He also didn't hand the team a new set of downs instead sealing the win.

That being said I'm psyched for this win too.
Maybe....but I certainly remember the original Demarcus disappearing at crucial times in big games.

Yeah, he showed up big at times, but disappeared at times too.

Yep. Great players show up with games and seasons on the line. Ware was a very good player, but rarely made the crucial plays in crunch time. That '09 Saints game was one of the few times he did.

Y'all can make fun if you want but I had tears in my eyes after this game. Tears for Romo and Lawrence as well as for a team that nobody gave a chance to begin the season...myself included.
I hope you're kidding.

Best football week in like over a decade. Cowboys win in playoffs...Steelers lose. Vols win bowl...Alabama loses in college playoffs.

I vaguely recognize this feeling.

What is crazy is how romo took 6 sacks and stil did as well as he did. He stayed poised all night. Has the Mexican finally matured and 30 minutes before his body is done?

We have done a poor job of overcoming blitzes in some games. Hopefully we are better next week.

He's Mexican? Woah, woah, woah. That's like having a black James Bond.

You should listen to his post game press conference. He basically admitted that in the past he forced too many passes and how falling behind in games like this early, like Minny in '09, got down and felt like they couldn't comeback. Same stuff we said back then with his demeanor and sulking on sidelines.

Good to see he's now throwing the ball away when no one is open and trying to protect it in situations but just wish it hadn't taken 9 years to figure it out.

Starting at the 3:10 mark:

I do too.

Great win, no doubt. But it's the Wild Card round. Act like you've been here before.
You guys really shouldn't be saying anything about that. Especially so long after the fact.

Iamtdg and booze are going to be upset.

I'm gonna need a copy of the celebration guidelines.

It's been awhile, but I don't think you're supposed to cry.

It affects everyone differently, so props for sharing. I know I felt some emotions too...the 4th down conversion to Witten was the big one for me. Felt good to see the team come through after years of being let down.

Apparently, it's kind of fluid with people misinterpreting what is and is not accepted.

But one thing for sure, you are NOT allowed to poke fun at anything after the fact, and certainly not if you weren't in the "fire pit" ~snicker~ at the time the target statement was made.

We've said it a few times already this season, but this was a game they would have lost prior to this season. Nice tosee the amount of character they've developed.

As an aside, Romo was horrid in the first half, and had we lost, he rightly would have shouldered much of the blame.

Noted and filed.

Thanks for the interpretation.

Absolutely...although I don't think Linehan did a good job of setting up hot reads for him and I can't remember any screens called outside of the little bubble screen Romo audibled to with Beasley.

Agreed.

I don't agree with this. Romo was under extreme duress from the first play and was getting the shit knocked out of him. Their Dline was playing games with our Oline. We couldn't run or pass, and I certainly wouldn't blame Romo for that. If anything, I'd give him credit for not losing his mind and going all sandlot, thinking he had to put the entire team on his shoulders like in the past.

IMO, the blame should have been directed at the coaching and OLine for not adjusting. For example, there were guys coming free on 4 man rushes. That's unacceptable.
