Ian Rappaport @rapsheet#Cowboys face the real prospect of losing offensive play-caller Scott Linehan & DC Rod Marinelli this season. Contracts are up. No talks yet

I'm not worried. These boys will be well rewarded.

So our head coach, OC and DC are all FA's, along with Dez and DeMarco.

Jerry is going to have to pay up or we're going to have some pretty significant changes after a successful season.

Outside of a few guys, this is the first playoff game for almost everyone on the team. Are the Lions ready for a playoff-hyped Dez Bryant?

After years of being continuously on the cusp, maybe this is the year Dallas finally strings a few big wins together and find themselves playing for the Super Bowl.

I'm liking the "Romo revenge tour" theme to this year's playoff matchups:

Lions - revenge for the two epic collapses from 2011 and 2013, with bonus revenge for the 1991 playoff loss

Packers - revenge for last year's epic collapse at home, plus Romo's chance to out-duel the probable MVP on his home turf; Ice Bowl revenge

Seahawks - revenge for the 2006 botched hold, ending that part of the choker legacy

Broncos/Pats - Revenge for 2013 loss vs Denver; finally beating Tom Brady (Cowboys have never done it, IIRC)

As for today's game...I'm expecting the Cowboys to take out their playoff-drought frustration on the Lions, winning by three scores and getting the Super Bowl hype train going full steam ahead.

Shut the eff up.

You have now cursed us with the L. Goddamn you.
If you hadn't been asleep I might not have had to be the 'next man up'.

Recall, it's a process.

I'd be worried if @rapsheet wasn't proven to be wrong soooo often.

No, this is a playoff game.

This means we needed to wait for 1bigfan, damn you.

But hey, be a selfish impatient prick.

Start looking forward to the draft, boys. Nothing more to see here.

P1 here decided he couldn't wait a little while for his chatter thread.

Hey, it's all about him because ya know, he's excited and stuff.

Rapoport's inaccuracy aside, Marinelli's two year deal and Linehan's one year deal are up. It is up to Jones to man up and pay the pair of them. If he thinks for one second that Garrett can be successful by promoting guys like Wade Wilson and Matt Eberflus up to replace them, he's dumber than I thought.

Not so sure about that. There have been rumors of Marinelli reteaming with Lovie in Tampa all season.
The Tampa D is awful and needs a complete rebuild. Why would he leave when he is only half way to building his defense only to start over. Especially considering he knows that the next offseason's resources in Dallas needs to be devoted to the defense and that the organization knows it.

Jerry has shown that he is completely willing to pay coaches top dollar (and we don't have to worry about salary cap concerns). He did with Garrett when Baltimore was sniffing around.
