Like I said, neither team could beat Oregon based on the way all three teams played. If Ohio State and Oregon each play the way they did tonight, Oregon is going to blow them out.

I can hear the excuses now.

Bama wasn't interested because this wasn't the title game.

I can't wait to hear Paul Finebaum eat crow. That twerp has been talking shit for a while now. Time to eat some humble pie.

what a day for Big 10 football. The beginning of the year as soon as Braxton Miller went down, it looked as if the B1G was going to be one of the weakest conferences. Turns out it as actually become one of the stronger ones.

If you have the SEC Network tune in now.

It's like reading ES after a Skins loss.

I'm happy for the conference.

As a teen growing up in the 90's, Big 10 football was my favorite to watch in college at that time. Not just because it was an elite conference, but because of how the conference as a whole played pro style football, and they still do.

I still have a fondness for them, even though I don't like OSU much :lol

But all in all, I'm glad to see the Big 10 on their way back up.

Very much true. I'd be happy to see the B1G become a mainstay again over the SEC. I'm just so sick of those turds. I know I keep saying this...it is just that I've had to hear the ball licking of the SEC for years on end.

They went 2-5 what will ESPN do now that they don't have their golden conference in the game.

Ignore the facts, claim it was just an off year, and start pimping them again for next year.

I think that happens anyway. TCU vs Oregon would have been a better game. Oregon wins going away IMHO. I will say that O St did themselves proud though. At least they didn't no-show, but how the hell do the Fn Badgers win like that today after no-showing against O St. I think the fix was in damnit!

I agree, I thought TCU should have been ranked higher. They should have been there yesterday rather than FSU.

Oregon will win the national championship.
I would agree but I also thought that Ohio State didnt have a shot in the last two games.

I would like to think that the OSU victory would make the media rethink why they are such Bama whores but it probably won't because even after last year's loss the Bama altar was erected again and it started all over. A team with a third string QB took them to task and out gunned the myth. Come August the pundits will begin their hype and worship all over again. Just get ready for it.

Ohio State played really well, that's for sure. Bama's defense couldn't get off the field on 3rd down, and it's not like Ohio State's offense is terribly sophisticated. Everyone knew that they were going to do, but there were many plays when Bama's defense stood around watching the play happen rather than participating in it (see the TD pass thrown by OSU's WR). And, Bama's offense didn't help matters. Kiffin's play calling and overall game plan was really bad, and he has a tendency to do that. Just ask any USC fan. It was a bad game for Bama all around. OSU deserved the victory and it was obvious that they wanted it more.

The media isn't just on Bama's junk, though. It's on the SEC in general. They seem to think that SEC teams are the only ones that "beat each other up" and that no other conference does that, which is total bullshit. Every conference beats the shit out of itself because they still play games. And, if you compare the athletic ratings from conference to conference, I'd argue that the level of beating sustained is worse in the "lower" conferences because their non-conference schedules are (typically) tougher than those in the SEC.

For example, the SEC is thought of (wrongfully) as nothing but 5* players from top to bottom. If that's the case, then the level of beating sustained is equal to that of a conference comprised of nothing but 3* and 4* players because the correlation of size, speed, strength, durability, etc., is equal when teams of equal strength play each other. Meaning, the SEC is no more or less "beat up" than another conference because the wear and tear on a 5* player playing against another 5* player will be the same as that of a lower ranked player competing against another lower ranked player. So when lower quality teams play against top teams, they are the ones who wind up being more beat up because they can't compete against higher quality athletes, while the higher quality players receive not only less of a beating on the field, but spend less time on the field because they're typically pulled in the 3rd or 4th quarter, giving them more rest than a player from a lower ranked school. In other words, SEC players are actually more rested and in better physical condition than teams which play tougher non-conference schedules because they reduce the level of physical punishment by not having to compete hard every game.

I'm in the process of collecting data to build a statistical model and correlation matrix to either prove or disprove this notion. I think that it'll prove my assertion, but I won't know for sure until it's complete.

Hahahahaaa!!!! So happy right now.....

Alabama loses to a team that wasnt supposed to get in with their 3rd string QB.

Suck it you fags!
And playoff committee feels vindicated putting them in over TCU.

You can stop with all of this making sense stuff. Everyone knows that the SEC is way better and is full of gods in football uniforms.
