Tony Romo's reputation is that he can't handle the pressure of the playoffs.

That must change or it's the same ol' same ol'.
You're talking about the NFC offensive player of the month.... in DECEMBER.

I'm with Kidd, primarily because I think this is a bad matchup for us.

They have the #1 rushing defense in the league, #2 overall defense, and historically, top run defenses have shut down leading rushers in the playoffs.

A QB/WR combo that torched this defense before, facing our below average squad that absolutely depends on turnovers - turnovers that are created with zero quarterback pressure.

Playing at home where we have all 4 of our losses.

I would be disappointed with a loss, but not surprised.

I think it's retarded to just say, "hey, they are better than I expected so anything is good at this point."

I expected 8ish wins. But had we gotten 8 wins I would have considered the season a failure. My evaluation of the success of the season is based less on my expectations and more on what I believe they are capable of.

I expected 8 wins in 2013. Despite reaching that expectation, I consider 2013 a disappointment and failure. I was pissed we lost to Philly to end 2013 even though I expected it. Why? We were capable of doing more last season.

If we somehow drew Green bay or Seattle this week, I would probably feel differently.

But the fact is, we face an inferior team in our building. If we lose, we effed up. It's that simple.

Out of curiousity, the people who expected a 6-10 season this year, if the team had gone 7-9 you wouldn't have called this season a failure then? However because they went 12-4 a loss in the first round of the playoffs makes this season a failure? J
What can you say, expectations change game to game. But having built a 12-4 record, specially the way the won games, it would be wrong for our expectations not to change. I surely bet theirs have!

I think being number 1 on defense for them is partly a matter o f who they played. Their schedule sucked and except for beating GN early in the year, whenever they played a "good" team they got beat. 6 of their 11 wins were by less than a TD to bad teams.

I agree, I question whether this is a good matchup for us.

But at the same time, we are a better team, and thistime of yyou hhave to overcome matchup issues and get the job done.

I mean hell, we are facing a QB that has essentially never beaten a good team on the road. Ever.

We could have said the same thing about clinching the division at home against Indy. But instead, we blew their doors off.

Throw all that sshit out the window when the season is on the line. We are the better team.

Did anyone expect a 13-3 season in 2007? I certainly didn't. After the defense fell apart in 2006 and Romo got "exposed" I had no idea we'd go on to have a dominant season and seize the #1 seed in the NFC. None of that made our loss against the Giants any less of a disappointment.

Yeah, I know they did. I don't think they did against us.

Not saying we wouldn't have beaten them anyway -- of course we would have. But I don't think they were very into it, either.
Like I said we didn't let them hang around like the Eagles did. The game was over in the second quarter. Then the Redskins couldn't wait until the season was over. Props to the Cowboys for putting the game away early. They deserve credit for that.

You can spin going on road and blowing out three teams and blowing out Indy any way you want. You can site reasons and.excuses for our opponents all day long. We averaged 41ppg in December. I don't care who we were playing, when, where that's impressive. These games were all almost playoff games. Don't downplay going to Philly in a must win game and taking it.to them. Geesh.

That is a loser's mentality.

"Hey, you didn't expect them to be good, so you can't get upset no matter how or when they lose."

GTFO with that nonsense.
Amen lol.

Is there not a homer exemption in effect for playoffs? Damn well should be.
There better be, cause I am fully there right now. Sunday cannot get here soon enough.

So 12-4 with a playoff win and then a playoff loss is :happydance

12-4 with a playoff loss is :budd

That's just retarded. Either way you're sitting at home watching the superbowl so the end result is exactly the same. Either way you still have a 12-4 team and a division winner. Just seems silly to throw a season away over one game. Now if you look at this team and say they should win the superbowl. Then I could see why a first round playoff loss would be a failure of a season.
Wouldn't exactly be :happydance with a loss in GB but still would be a little different losing to Rodgers at Lambeau than to go one and done losing to the Lions at home.

I didn't spin shit. I didn't blame their attitudes for us winning, just the margin of win. I also didn't say Philly wasn't into it. RIF.

I think people are getting confused. I agree, it would be a disappointment to lose to the Lions. We are better then them, no question about it. When I view that game all by itself, if we lose, it is a failure.

I just don't think you can judge an entire season according to the outcome of one game. It's the equivalent to everyone on here freaking out after the Redskins loss that we don't deserve to make the playoffs. Teams lose to lesser teams all the time. Win or lose against Detroit, I'd have a hard time looking back at the entire season as a failure. I'm talking bigger picture while everyone else can't seem to look past the outcome of just one game.

you cant say this season is a failure no matter what. the way this team came together and built a COMPLETELY different mentality in Big D, even if we go one and done we finally have a foundation to build from. Disappointment if we lose Sunday? Yes. Failure of a season? No.

Oh, you spun a lot of shit. Colts and Skins "mailed it in", Colts "laid an egg" and Skins "weren't into it". No credit to the Dallas Cowboys.

Spin away my friend, spin away.

I think this season has been a huge success no matter what because this team finally has an identity and dictates to teams instead of Garret's mantra of "Taking what they give us" IMO we finnaly have a foundation to build on instead of plugging wholes in the offseason.

Now with that said I will be terribly disappointed if we don't show up or Romo shits the bed or we just give the game away, really I don't think I could stomach if we lose with Romo playing panic ball because to me that means we will never go anywhere with him at QB.
