I don't think that was the case even before this. He's been on the shit list for a few weeks, especially since he failed to meet easily attainable six sack goal to get bonus money. Pretty much tells you the guy isn't all in.

Too bad, because we still need the rotational body, but this makes the offseason decision pretty easy.

I remember a few weeks back when someone wrote an article about Melton being inactive for a game to try and shake him up. I'm guessing behind the scenes someone thought he was half ass'ing it.

A player for the OKC Thunder missed a little over 3 weeks with a bone bruise in his knee. So I'm guessing it was one of those 3-4 week deals which obviously take him out until the Super Bowl at best.

And with his lack of production the past 7 weeks there was no sense in holding a roster spot for him.
