Romo didn't take a shot before the last game, essentially admits it affected him.

Eh, it was an awesome showing until we packed it in in the fourth quarter. You guys are like women on their periods.
You're absolutely right. We kicked their ass, then almost fell asleep.

Tony Romo ... Body by Budweiser
It's very interesting hearing Romo talk about the Eagles game in the post game. He basically admitted to screwing up with his preparation for the Eagles game and feeling like crap before that game even started. I think that loss to the Eagles still really bothers him. Hopefully we see a different game the next time around.

This team hasn't done anything to change my opinion since September. Our offense is elite and our defense is decent enough to win some games and maybe make the playoffs but they you can't compete at the highest level lacking the talent that we do on defense.

I'm happy that we won and surely hope we can make it as far as possible, but it would basically take a miracle for us to make any real noise in the playoffs with a defense like this. Just have to hope we can add some talent to that side of the ball in the off-season.

I expected 6 wins, so I'll be totally fine with 10-6 even if they don't win a game in the playoffs. With that said, I wouldn't consider this season a success unless they make the playoffs. The reason for that is because I think just making the playoffs would be a nice step and some valuable experience for the young players like Dez, Murray, the O-line, etc. I don't want them to get used to all the mediocrity that most of the Romo era Cowboys got used to.

If we don't make the playoffs, then I don't really think there is anything these players can take from this season.

If we can get these guys some playoff experience early in their careers, it could help to shape a new mentality for the team going forward, which would be great because I think they're already trying to do that with all the new faces.

Just get to the playoffs, and I'm happy with 2014.
I don't think they're good enough to get into the playoffs. If they can beat Philly in Philly then they have a shot, but I don't see that happening. Even if it does I would expect them to lose to Washington in week 17 in yet another "win and you're in" in week 17 against a division opponent.

They just aren't over the hump. The D is definitely still not good enough and the offense is inconsistent. I have already written off the playoffs, so I'll have to take 10-6 as at least a respectable season. It can be looked at as progress but I think it's more that they've just stayed a lot healthier this season than they have been the past few. That's the big difference. That and the OL is a lot better.

Romo clearly wasn't right but the defense was a complete sieve all game. We ran with some success early on but we didn't convert a bunch of 3rd and short to mediums that the running game set up, probably because Romo wasn't right.

Combine the fact that our offense couldn't sustain drives with the fact that the defense came out completely unprepared and you get what we got. I have confidence that Romo and the offense will play better, but whether or not we can win will come down to the defense getting stops, obviously.

If Week 17 is win and you're in we're going to win, the Skins will have nothing to play for as opposed to the previous 3 years where our opponent won the division with a win.

In my mind all we have to do is win one of these next two, then we beat the Skins and 11 will get us in one way or the other.

Unlike past years, I don't think this team is gutless. I think they have the right attitude and they have a lot of new guys who really want to go out there and get wins.

I believe them when they say they intend to be a different team against Philly the next time, but they just don't have the talent to do so. I wouldn't call 10-6 and no playoffs a failure, but I can't consider it a success either because as I said, you can only build on this season if you make the playoffs.

Now, if they go to a horrible Washington team and lose with a chance to get into the playoffs, then they most definitely should be labeled gutless. Hopefully, they surprise me and beat either the Eagles or Colts and get their 10 wins before they play that game, but I just don't think they can beat either of those teams with this defense.

The defense settled down a little in that game. It just took way to long for that to happen. I think our whole team was unprepared for that game. I don't think our defense will shut them down or anything in the rematch but I certainly expect a much better performance. I don't think this defense will be run all over again. Our run defense is better then that.

There's your problem right there. Philly showed that they're a lot better team. Even if Dallas plays better next time I think they still lose. And then they play Andrew Luck, who could throw for 400 yards in his sleep against this weak ass pass rush/secondary.

Philly has the leagues best offense, so Dallas' own offense has to play well to have a chance of winning.

The Eagles have their OTs intact for the home stretch. It's going to be a battle, though, I can feel it

Scandrick went up a notch in my book today
Mine too.

I don't know if that's the Dez effect because Scandrick has never done that before, but I'm just happy he went off like that either way.

I'm sick of watching them sit around with their hands in their laps as they start collapsing and blowing big leads, so it was great to see someone finally go off then turn around and make a play too.

The thing that really worries me about the Colts is TY Hilton. If we don't double cover him on every play we are absolute fools. Otherwise, their O-line sucks, there run game isn't shit and I think we can at least slow the rest of their weapons.
