Mizzou going back to the SEC title game for 2nd time in 3 years

I wish I were still in Texas because I had a lot of SEC fans in my unit who swore up and down that Mizzou wouldn't be able to hang and would be middle of the pack at best in the SEC. :lol

I love how the entire conference rides the jock and gets to take credit for the success of 3 or 4 schools.

Mizzu has the luxury of being in the weakest division in their conference in the big 12 and SEC. Still, it proves the whole jock sniffing and reach around attitude of the sec that is soooooo amazing.

Rutgers came back from down 25 in the 2nd quarter to beat Maryland away. 7-5 Season, 3-5 inthe Big Ten isnt horrible for a squad who wasn't expected to win 1 B10 game this year.

Alabama got extremely lucky right before the half. Auburn had them on the ropes and shoudl have put another TD on the board before halftime but their clock management was horrid.

No excuse for not getting on the ball quickly and running at least 2 plays. Then instead of calling a pass play they run it, get stopped and have to use their final timeout with 4 seconds left. It was a bad sequence of events that will probably come back to haunt them.

I'm still stunned by ND's total collapse. The team literally fell apart after losing to Arizona State. Then again, they didn't look right against Navy, so maybe the loss to Florida State really fucked with their heads considering they dominated that game.

Former TTU and KU OC is the new HC for Troy. Neal Brown is a good guy. It is good to see him do well after Tuberville screwed him.

Did Tuberville give him Schizophrenia when he was at TTU? Or just randomly overrule his play calls, which would look the same?

They're lucky Sarkasian was content to take his foot off the gas once the game was clearly out of reach, although that actually happened in the first half. Kessler may have set some team records if they let him keep on picking on that pathetic, depleted secondary.

Navy always gives ND fits, they have mostly failed to contain the triple option since I've been watching them. I'm sure the ASU game got in their heads but injuries and inexperienced depth are the biggest problem.

Started the season without their projected #1 CB, #1 WR and a starting DE, who were lost to suspension and the defense is just plain decimated. 9 of the 11 expected preseason starters are out for one reason or another and only a couple of starters have played every game. They had 5 defenders go down yesterday, some of those guys were 3rd stringers to start the season and I think they finished the game with only one player left at DT. At one point, I think around 15 of all 22 starters were either freshmen and sophomores. It probably didn't hurt that early in the season, nobody was completely sure what the D was going to look like but after teams got some film on them, they started exploiting the D's weaknesses. Sucks because until the USC debacle, they managed to stay in every game even they were down big early. The only silver lining to this shit show of a collapse is the young guys are gaining a lot of experience for next season.

Regarding Golson, skill wise he doesn't suck but he sure sucks between the ears, has crappy pocket presence, holds the ball too long and he doesn't seem to take coaching well. He's like the NCAA version of Romo. When he's good, he's really good and when he's bad, he's really bad. His turnovers have killed ND the last five games and frankly, I'm surprised he wasn't benched sooner. ND fans bitched about Rees' turnovers and rightfully so but Golson has been just as bad or worse. Rees was physically limited, made some bad mistakes and throws but he had a good football IQ and was cool as a cucumber in the pocket. Golson has all the potential in the world but can't keep his head on straight and isn't a good leader. He also displays terrible body language when things go downhill.

ND and Dallas have basically mirrored each other this season and it's been hard to watch. Hot start with defenses that were pretty much exceeding expectations early but became depleted by injuries and offenses that can move the ball and score but turned the ball over too much, often at the worst time or possible.

And with JT Barrett going down with the leg injury there's talk that the committee will take that into consideration, so that probably eliminates Ohio St. Plus the Buckeyes have a B1G title game against Wisconsin next week with this green QB, so I'm going to say they're done.
That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. They won't penalize an entire program because a QB got hurt, especially if he has a chance to return in 1 1/2 months for the bowl game.

If tOSU can beat Wisconsin in their title game, I'm guessing they jump both idle Big 12 teams. There's just too much value in a late season quality win. Hopefully Melvin Gordon takes the week off too.

From what I gather Tubs overruled his calls.

I have a lot of respect for Brown. The dude is very organized, has a plan and is a great recruiter.

Davis Webb will have surgery to repair a torn labrum that happened on Sept 25.

Mahomes will have surgery to repair a broken wrist that happened during the OU game.

Both of them played through the injuries during the season. Kingsbury doesn't disclose injury information during the season.

I agree....it's ridiculous but when I was watching games yesterday more than one commentator mentioned it.

Also, neither Big 12 team is idle. Both Baylor and TCU have games this weekend.

Baylor plays #12 K. State. I think a win over #12 trumps a win over #14 Wisconsin.

They have to be careful here...Pelini was very consistent as a winner. They have to avoid what Michigan did and make the right hire. Talk is they want Scott Frost.

Really? I know he's a popular alum but I just peeked at his coaching resume and he's way too green, IMO.

I know Nebraska is no longer consider one of the hot jobs in college football but it's still a great job nonetheless. I think they can do a lot better than Scott Frost.

It would be a huge mistake, but local media is Tweeting it out. Briles has been mentioned as well...Cutcliff too.

Baylor better show up to play if they want to win. I know they are capable to win. KSU has proven to be very consistent in playing above their talent. Baylor has laid some duds in the last few yars when it counted. I don't know if they just believe their hype, run out of gas or what.

I doubt Winston even gets taken in the first at all now.
