Cowboys line stuffed on Thanksgiving
November, 28, 2014

By Todd Archer | ESPNDallas.com

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Philadelphia Eagles offensive linemen Bennie Logan offered up some bulletin-board material for the Dallas Cowboys' offensive line last week when he said the group was, "nothing special."

The Cowboys' response was muted, preferring to see what happened on Thursday.

What happened Thursday was not good for the Cowboys' offensive line.

Murray was limited to a season-low 73 yards on 20 carries, averaging fewer than 4 yards per carry for the first time in a game this season. Tony Romo threw for only 199 yards and was sacked four times, the most since Oct. 27 when the Washington Redskins sacked him five times and knocked him out of the game temporarily with two fractures in his back.

The Eagles' first sack came after Travis Frederick snapped the ball too quickly. In the second half, left guard Ronald Leary gave up two sacks on one drive. Romo was flustered at times by the Eagles' pass rush.

"We saw most of the stuff that we've seen on the film before," Frederick said. "We'll have to go back and look at the film to specifically see where the breakdowns occurred."

The Eagles followed their game plan.

"To stop DeMarco Murray and get them into third downs and then make Tony Romo move around in the pocket," outside linebacker Connor Barwin said. "We felt that if he had all day to throw he would make some plays. The key is not letting DeMarco get those big runs, which we did a good job of."

You have to give the Eagles credit, they had a dang near flawless game plan that worked almost to perfection.

Yeah, they always have an excuse, never a solution. They can't even use TOP as an excuse because we were actually winning it most of the game and it was almost split down the middle at the end. It came down to poor execution, poor play calling, shitty tackling, bad angles, bad coverage and turnovers. This game had it all, it was absolutely craptastic.

Philly could give two shits about time of possesion. They are about scoring.

Yeah I don't know why some don't get it about Philly. They are a team with good players and have a coach who is aggressive on both sides of the ball. I hope someone knocks them off the perch but right now than can compete with anyone. The only teams that will beat them are the ones who have the juice on defense to shut Sanchez down. If he is left alone he is fully capable of having a big day on any field.

In every way a complete and total fail. This looked like the team some predicted we would see go 6-10.
