You are exaggerating in a big way. Being directly in the Dallas market is a big hell and they have the money to draw a big name coach...who would come if they were in the Big 12. Mack Brown had interest in the job and now a top flight asst in Morris is interested.

Maybe they are not added...no big deal, but they are a viable candidate.

There's no exaggeration in what I said. It's all established. SMU would have to expand their stadium for one and if they did it would be 45000 maximum. That's still small for what you perceive as a large market. They are in a very competitive recruiting area, for not only conference players but for the entire country. It would take a long time to get them to the levels of the rest of the conference.

They make a ton of sense to the Big 12. Their stadium holds 32K, but that school is loaded...not sure why stadium size would be an issue anyways. Pointing out how the program is down now is very short sighted. It just takes the right hire...like their hoops hire of Brown.

The Big 12 needs to reach outside of Texas to add two teams. Someone close to WVU or something.

It does, but I can't blame him either. That's a high end P5 job salary and he spent the last 2 seasons looking for one. Without Boyd and Watkins, he must figure his name won't be hot forever.

They do need that game, but they add teams that make sense from a $ perspective to do so. BYU is a choice but they seem to change their mind daily on whether they want a conference affiliation.

Cincy, UCF and USF are their best options. Opens new markets for TV, recruiting grounds and gives east coast travel buddies for WV which they've begged for.

Yeah, I would rather have UCF than SMU at this point.

My bad attitude towards the conference is to entice an invite. If the Big 12 gets into the playoffs with their current format, they have no incentive to change.

Im looking at the big picture. If UCF gets the invite, you won't see a bigger Big 12 homer on the board than me.

I don't know...I smell a rat. I've been in this thing since day one. These newbs are suspect IMO.

They are bringing in Chad Morris...who would be a big boost. I think they make sense...not a big deal either way for me. I do know they need to bring in 2 more teams.

I would add UCF and USF if I was the Big 12. Two Florida schools would add at least one recruiting trip to FL for every school in the conference every year. That could be a big boost to the talent in the Big 12 overall.

Even if that was a consideration up front, he could be gone in 2 or 3 years. It's not a tangible enough reason to take on all the other shortcomings.

The business side in me says yes. The Orlando/Tampa markets combine to make the 4th biggest TV market in the country.

The personal side of me says only one FL team is needed and USF can GFI.

Should have been done after Duke last year but better late than never I guess. Supposedly Venables reached out a few weeks ago and is the front runner, I'd be ecstatic with either him or Muschamp(yea I know it's unlikely). I just hope Sumlin doesn't settle for an easy hire.

Nobody on the original 2 deep is traveling at the safety position. We have a freshman that has been very bad at CB all season now starting at safety with no experience. We have 4 freshman in the defensive backfield and two walk ons safeties backing them up. Lol if one guy goes down there is literally nothing.

At DT we have two JUCOs starting and one OT that was converted over backing them up. Nothing much behind them.

I'm sure that [MENTION=64]Clay_Allison[/MENTION] will say something stupid about how we need the aggy coach to come over to try to piece this pioe of crap together.
